Specs:
The Paramount padded tailgate bike rack is a quick and easy alternative to fork blocks. It saves you from having to remove the front wheels on your bikes and from drilling into your truck bed. And if you normally use a hitch rack, but will be using your hitch to tow, this rack lets you bring up to 7 bikes as well. Spacing blocks prevent bike-to-bike contact, hook-and-loop straps secure your bikes to the rack, and the center flap provides access to your tailgate handle.
There are 8 spacing blocks along the outer side of the rack. These blocks provide stabilization for your fork stanchions to prevent bike-to-bike contact. To set up your bikes, just stagger the front wheels over the tailgate hanging outside of the truck and place the fork stanchions between the blocks.
A series of sewn-on loops along the top of the rack provide anchor points for your bikes. Use the included hook-and-loop straps to secure your bikes to the tie-down points to prevent your bikes from shifting during transport. Additional straps (sold separately) are available if you lose one.
Easy Access to Tailgate Handle
The center flap lets you access your tailgate handle without having to remove the pad so you can lower your tailgate. The flap secures with a hook-and-loop fastener.
Mesh Pockets
There are 2 sewn-in mesh pockets that let you conveniently store your biking gear. They're great for storing helmets, gloves, and wet or sweaty clothes that you don't want inside your truck.
Heavy-Duty Construction
The rack is made of heavy-duty, ballistic tarpaulin. A high-density foam core protects your tailgate and your bikes from dents and dings. The fleece lining provides a soft, smooth surface that won't scratch or scuff your tailgate.
Simple Installation
To install the rack just slide it over your tailgate and use the 3 integrated tie-down straps wrap to secure it in place.

Hi, everyone. Aiden here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at our Swagman Paramount tailgate pad and seeing how it fits on our 2023 Nissan Titan. This is gonna be a full-sized tailgate pad, able to hold up to seven bikes in your truck bed on your Titan. So if you're looking to carry a large amount of bikes this is gonna be a great way to do it. Tailgate pads are, in general, a good way to transport large amounts of bikes with your truck just because they generally have larger capacities than something like a hitch mounted bike rack.
And they're pretty affordable, too. So if you're looking for an easier way to do it, this would always be my recommendation, especially if you've got the truck bed, you might as well use it and at least it keeps the bikes upright rather than just loosely piled in your bed. You've got one strap that holds the frame down onto the tailgate pad, keeping it relatively still. Honestly, it's working really well. The back tire sits in the ridges of the bed while the front of the bike is wedged into the tailgate pad here with these large padded foam blocks keeping that fork in place.
And whenever the tires all on top of each other and lined up side by side, you're gonna get a lot of the bikes holding each other in as well. It's pretty easy to get this undone. The one strap that holds the frame in place is a hook and loop strap. So you just have to undo that and remove it from the buckle. And it can fully remove from the tailgate pad too.
Make it easier to just grab the bike and lift it up and away. I'll set this off to the side real quick, and we can take a closer look at the pad itself. But one of the things you'll notice in the center is that we have a flap, and that's going to be to access the handle for our tailgate. There's a buckle right there that we can undo, and that'll expose our backup camera if we wanna leave this on between rides or the handle to open that tailgate up and gain full use of our truck bed. This flap will just fold back.
And there's a second buckle in the back there to hold it open and keep it open so you can utilize that backup camera if you leave this on. And we can better see all the individual loops that we can feed those bike straps through. That'll just feed through that, hook back to itself, and that's what we use to tighten down the bikes. Now, there isn't any ability to move these around, because there's only seven loops and seven bike straps, so there's no adjustment there side to side. Your bikes are gonna be set at those fixed intervals, which can be a bit of a pain but for the most part I think it's gonna work just fine. And the big standout feature here is the large mesh elastic pockets on the back of the tailgate pad. Plenty big enough for some bike shoes or maybe even a helmet depending on the helmet you have. So if you wanna keep your stuff back here, maybe some sunscreen, ready to go, you can do that. There's three straps that keep this held onto the tailgate, two on the sides, one in the middle. And you can see because of that it doesn't pull super evenly and we get some bowing out in the middle here, so it's not the cleanest looking fit but that's pretty much true for any tailgate pad. Really, the only one that doesn't have that bowing out is the Kuat Huk. That's going to be a four strap system that just pulls a little bit more evenly, but it is a much more premium option. So if you're looking for a really nice premium tailgate pad, that could be the one for you. The curved version works really well because the tailgate on the Titan is a bit thicker in the middle here than it is on the sides so that Kuat Huk curved tailgate pad fits really well. But if you're looking for an option that is maybe comparable to this that isn't as premium, you might check out the Yakima Gatekeeper. I like the way that one holds the bikes in place really well because it uses thick foam pads and metal hooks on the straps for the bikes, and the straps that go around your tailgate on that one are reinforced, so it's easier to feed them up through the gap between the tailgate and the bed. But regardless of all that, I do think the Paramount is a really solid option. It's going to have a good method of holding the bikes and the pockets in the back for me really can't be beat by any of the competition. So if you like the extra storage and you need to carry up to seven bikes than the Swagman Paramount is gonna be a great fit on your 2023 Nissan Titan. Thanks for watching. (rhythmic clicking).

This padded rack lets you carry 7 bikes on your truck bed tailgate. It's a great alternative to fork blocks, it doesn't require drilling into your truck bed, and you don't have to remove your bikes' front wheels. It has been great for 5 or 6 bikes, easy to put on. A little tight and depending on the type of bike it won't line up in the designated spot but I can still velcro the bikes to keep them secure. Would definitely recommend the Swagman. It can be put on with one person but 2 is easier, one in the bed and one threading it through. The same is true for loading/unloading bikes, one in the bed of the truck and one handing the bikes up. I have definitely done it by myself so we're loaded and ready to go camping when the boys get home from school.
I've been using this for a couple of years now. I mainly use it when we go camping. It's been great for carrying the 4 bikes we have. The bikes never have shifted/moved while in transit. The tailgate pad is a little tricky to put on (I lay under the truck and fish the strap up to my son). I've installed the mat by myself but it's way easier with 2 people.
Really like this bike rack for my truck. Easy to put on. Handles the Mtb bikes well.
Well made, but you need to do something about the 3 straps...and how you can push a wet noodle up through the gap. Gonna have to put a sting down, and attach it to each stap to pull them up.
