This amber GloLight is bright, easy to see, waterproof, and just looks cool. The outer band is a parking light, and the center LEDs act as a turn signal. Mounts in a cutout using a grommet (sold separately) and works with 3-prong plugs.
Features:
Specs:
This GloLight has a standard 3-prong plug that connects to your vehicle or trailer with a PL-3 pigtail adapter. Pick up the right-angle pigtail (A47PB - sold separately) or the straight pigtail (A45PB - sold separately) if you don't have one already.
This light installs in a grommet (A45GB - sold separately) and requires cutting a hole into your trailer if it doesn't already have one.
If you'd rather not cut a hole in your trailer, you can use an optional mounting bracket (BK45BB - sold separately) instead. You will still need the A45GB grommet.

Today, we'll be reviewing part number STL101AB. This is the Optronics GloLight LED, providing parking and turn signals. The innovative tail light serves as your parking light and your turn signal light. The outer band of LEDs is going to be an amber color. It's going to function as your parking light. This center area of amber LEDs are going to illuminate for your turn lights. It's also going to feature a amber-colored lens over amber LEDs.
It is going to use surface-mount technology. It's going to protect the LEDs from moisture, shock and vibration. The diodes are mounted directly onto a circuit board instead of through holes, so that's going to offer better heat distribution. It's going to allow for a thinner construction, and it's going to help to withstand bumps and shaking. That's going to feature a polycarbonate lens and housing that are going to be sonically sealed so they're going to be waterproof. It's going to accept industry standard three-prong plug connection here on the back of the light.
So it does require the three-prong plug. That's going to be sold separately. We got a couple different options. You can use part number A47PB, that's going to be the right-angled pigtail, or part number A45PB. That's going to be you straight pigtail. Also, you're going to need a rubber grommet for installation.
That's also going to be sold separately, with part number A45GB, and then, if you need a bracket as well, you can use part number BK45BB. All those can be found right here, at etrailer.com. This is Department of Transportation compliant. It meets FMVSS108 and CMVSS requirements for automotive lighting. If we take a look at the dimensions of the light, it's going to give us a diameter of 4 5/16 inch. It's going to give us an overall thickness of 2 3/16. That does include the three-prong connection point at the back.
If we measure just this portion here, that's going to give us a depth of about 3/4 inch. If we measure back to this point here, that's going to give us an overall depth of about one inch. The power draw is going to be at 12.8 volts for the turn light. It's going to use 0.375 amps. The parking light's going to use 0.145 amps. Again, it can be mounted using a grommet. We're going to go ahead and make our connection point here. We're going to take the three-prong plug. Again, it's going to be sold separately. We're going to plug it into the connection point at the rear, turn on our power source, and then turn off our overhead lights. So you can see there, that that outer band is going to function as our parking light. Then, when we turn on the turn signal, everything's going to brighten up. The LED's going to be very bright. You have all LEDs functioning as well as that outer band, providing a nice, bright signal. That's going to do it for today's review of part number STL101AB. This is Optronics GloLight LED, providing the parking and turn light functions. .
