If your trailer already has a compatible double-acting hydraulic power unit, you do not need a second pump just to add powered tongue support. This kit gives you a 10,000-lb lift-capacity jack, selector valve, hoses, and fittings so the existing hydraulic system can handle raising and lowering the trailer. The jack also supports up to 12,000 lbs once you have the trailer positioned.
The included selector valve lets one compatible double-acting HPU serve two hydraulic functions. Route the pump through the valve, then send hydraulic flow to either the jack or the trailer's existing cylinder or hoist system. This gives you powered jack operation without replacing the hydraulic equipment already installed on the trailer.
Four 48" hydraulic hoses and the required fittings are included to help connect the jack and selector valve into the existing system. The jack is double acting, so hydraulic pressure powers both extension and retraction. Use it with a compatible HPU capable of up to 3,200 psi for extension and 1,500 psi for retraction.
The 4" x 4" square jack tube is designed for direct-weld installation. Position the jack so the distance from the bottom of the footplate to the underside of the trailer frame does not exceed 8", helping preserve the intended lifting geometry and usable range. Because the hydraulic pump is not included, its mounting and electrical requirements depend on the existing system you're connecting to.
The 9-1/2" x 9-1/2" footplate spreads the trailer load across a broad contact area and pivots as the jack moves, helping it sit more naturally on uneven gravel, dirt, or pavement. The exterior-grade black finish helps protect the square-tube jack through everyday weather and trailer use.

Hello, everybody. Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at our Dexter single hydraulic jack add-on with selector valve rated at 12,000 pounds capacity. Now folks, this is a add-on hydraulic jack leg to your existing hydraulic setup to lift your trailer quickly and safely. Now, the hydraulic pump and power unit would be sold separately. More likely than not, you would already have them though, and this would just be a simple add-on.
Now, this works with units offering up to 3,200 PSI extension and 1,500 PSI retraction. Now, this is gonna be ideal for use with livestock horse trailers as well as your commercial and construction trailers as well. As you can see, you get four hydraulic hoses included eight of these fittings. You get the nice selector valve to create a smooth and efficient operation even for heavy loads. And it's got all the ports on there and everything.
Very nice, heavy-duty, well-made. The square tube here is a 4 inch by 4 inch square tube with a durable exterior grade black finish. The foot plate is 9.5 by 9.5, and the jacket itself, when it's retracted like this, from the ground to the top, I got 30 3/4 inches. And extended, we got 50 3./4 inches fully extended. Now, up here on the front, you can see the two plugs there hopefully.
That's where your hydraulic hoses will connect. Now again, it says a lift capacity of 10,000 pounds, but a support capacity of 12. Now the maximum hydraulic flow rate with this is gonna be two gallons per minute. And once again, the maximum raising pressure is 3,200 PSI and the lowering is 1,500. So a nice little add-on kit here by Dexter.
Again, the single hydraulic jack add-on with the selector valve, the hoses and all the fittings. That's gonna wrap it up. I'm Steven. Thanks for watching and have a great day.
