Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this Trimax two and two and a half inch Hitch Receiver Lock. Now this pin lock with the sleek black finish is going to match your truck's tough look while staying discreet. This lock is designed for your class five two inch and two and a half inch trailer hitch receivers. And this is designed specifically for heavy duty towing applications, meaning it's gonna be able to handle the weight and stress of larger trailers.
This has a weight rating up to 32,000 pounds. And let me retrieve my ruler here and give you some other measurements that might be helpful for you. So looking at that inside pin length or span, so inside to inside there, as you can see we're sitting right at three and a half inches. And then that pin diameter is five eighths of an inch. And if you're wondering just the overall measurement with that cap, we're sitting pretty close to seven inches overall.
So this lock does feature an advance locking cylinder. So let me pop this cap open here real quick. By the way, this is gonna be weather resistant because of this cap. You can see it has a really tight fit over that keyway there, so that's gonna keep out dirt and moisture, protecting that lock for all season reliability. You are going to get two keys.
So this is going to be harder to pick and drill than standard locks. The tube keys are typically more challenging to duplicate. So with a quarter of a turn there, you're gonna be able to easily remove the head and then put this lock where you need it and then just replace the head. And then just go ahead and give that key a quarter of a turn back the other way. And then that's going to lock it in place.
But this finish is really nice, it's going to look great on the back of your vehicle. And then you'll just make sure that that cap is put into place and it's gonna keep that keyway protected. So this is a steel pin, so very rugged, very durable, and it has this really great black epoxy powder coat. So that's gonna help resist rust and corrosion for long lasting use. It's gonna hold up really well. It's gonna do a great job of resisting the elements that it's gonna be constantly exposed to. So again, this is a five eights inch in diameter, 32,000 pound weight rating with that inside pin length of three and a half inches for your class five trailer hitch receiver. If you do decide to pick one of these up, if you decide this is gonna be exactly what is going to work for you, we would love to hear back from you regarding how you're gonna be using this. So drop a review on this product page, shoot us an email, give us a phone call. And we would also love to see pictures of your towing setup as well. So show us how you're gonna be using this hitch receiver lock in your setup. Well, I think that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
