Today, we're going to look at the K-source driver's side manual custom flip out towing mirror with the air ambient temperature sensor. This is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2012 and newer Dodge Ram and Ram 1500, 2500, and 3500 trucks. And on a custom fit part like this, I always like to recommend for you to go to our website, use our fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle, and it'll show you if this will work for application.This towing mirror will replace the factory side view mirror on your vehicle. This towing vehicle has a nice slip out head, makes it very easy to see around the side of your trailer so you can safely change lens, pass, or park. All you have to do is just rotate the mirror away from your vehicle to extend your line of sight.
And then when you're not using it anymore, you can just put the mirror back into place when you're not towing.It does require a manual mirror face adjustment for both the large mirror and the smaller blind spot mirror. And the built in spotter mirror helps reduce any blind spots. If you notice, on this one, even though it says it's a manual mirror, it does have this plug on it. This plug on the driver's side mirror is to connect to your ambient air temperature sensor plug in your vehicle. The sensor for the ambient air temperature is right here.
This sensor is located on the front of the mirror, and when it's connected, will show the outside air temperature on the dash of your vehicle. It's only on the driver side, so you don't have to worry about it on the passenger side.This mirror is a hinge design. Allows you to fold the mirror up against the vehicle for parking or for fitting into tight spaces. You can see it's a nice durable plastic housing with a textured black finish. And it is custom fit for your vehicle.
It is a simple no drill installation, has the same footprint and mounting points as your factory mirror, and this is for the driver side mirror only.A few specs on this, on the mirror face, with it rotated in like it is now, the height on this mirror is going to be right at seven and 1/8 inches. When it's rotated out, the height of it will now be seven and 11/16 inches. The spotter mirror height when it's rotated out is three inches tall. Now, the overall length from here to here when it's rotated out is 24 and a half inches. And when we rotate it in from here to here it's going to be 20 and 3/4 inches.
This mirror is Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard approved. That should do it for the review on the K-source driver side manual custom flip out towing mirror with the air ambient temperature sensor.

They are fading pretty bad even after always cleaning them and regularly washing and coating.

These mirrors are great, very good quality and fit very well. I tried some from other sites and they did not fit properly and the quality was not good. I highly recommend these mirrors.
I have enjoyed having these mirrors vs the stock non extending ones. They have increased my visibility greatly.
I do wish I had opted for the ones with power but it’s not a must. I would buy them again.
