Not a good mirror. Second time using it fell off my car and smashed in road. Thank goodness it did not hit another car. The foam pads slid off and you can not get a good grip. I returned and they are sending me same one, because it was after 30 days.

by:

Fit mostly well on vehicle. Have not used on road yet. Time will tell

by:

Unhappy with the way this mirror mounts to our 2003 Ford van. It will not stay tight. Many hours of pulling over, and ajusting. I belive e-trailer should suggest a different alturnative to the CTM2500 custom mirror. I will be returning them this week, Thankyou,Gil Ruehmeier

Check out the CIPA 7070 or the K-Source KS3891. They are universal fit mirrors that attach a bit differently.

by:

The strap works fine and is holding up.

There is a big problem with the three mounting pads. The stick-on pads included in the kit don't stick on only for a short time. Without them the device will slip. Do you have a better stick-on pad. f not, please send me some of the others.

by:

Unfortunately, the mirrors do not work great on my Jeep Grand Cherokee. It is difficult to get them tight/snug on my mirrors, and they loosen as you drive, making it necessary to always be moving your head too much to get a good view in the mirror. I do not know if this is because of the shape of the mirrors on the Jeep. They may work better on other vehicles.

by:

These are rather flimsy, but did serve their purpose. We have a 35 foot 5th wheel and it is very hard to see behind it in changing lanes. These mirrors were helpful.

by:

Pretty goodAfter trying numerous towing mirrors, these are by far the best for the money. They shake slightly, but nowhere near enough to affect vision. What makes these great is you can adjust the mirror lense without adjusting the entire housing (like a factory mirror). I bought two. On one of them, the adjuster knob seems a little flimsy. The other is solid.

by:

The mirrors provide excellent view of the trailer being towed. That being said they produce a humming sound from the wind. They also tend to slide down gradually as you drive because the gripper pads do not stay adhered to the feet. They seem to work well for short trips. Anything over an hour and you will need to pull over to adjust them.

by:

Terrible! They sent me two different mirrors. One had a stronger magnifying mirror than the other. Lots of vibrations. Don’t waste your time or money on this product. I tossed them both.

by:

OK, difficult to installWe used these on our '02 Durango.
They worked OK, but were hard to install without messing up the regular mirror angle.
They do make a reed vibration, but if you twist the strap and connect, it prevents that. That is an old truckers trick to prevent vibrations of tie down straps.

by:

Got this one for the right side. Been using one in the left for a while. Long as they mate to your mirrors they are great. Pretty universal but still might not work on some mirrors. Very good product for a very reasonable price.

by:

Worked ok on my Toyota Tacoma but are utterly useless on my Chevy Tahoe. They slide all around even with the straps ratcheted down as tight as possible. The other issue is that they are very difficult to remove once ratcheted down like this. I almost snapped the mirror on my truck trying to remove them. Would recommend only for someone that has smaller and very sturdy mirrors. They will leave marks on the mirror unless some electrical tape is applied under clip.

by:

Droops like crazyNo problems with noise for me- but the way these mirrors mount is not secure. It relies on tension in the strap to hold its three legs against the tow vehicle's mirror. Unfortunately, most of the mirror's weight is outboard of those three legs, and the thing droops like crazy. We will be supplementing the mounting system with a bungee or two.

by:

I ordered a pair of these for my 2005 Dodge Durango and they work very good. These are a great solution for tow vehicles that dont have factory tow mirrors

by:

laying in the garage because they didn't work, I plan on using it to fill the space in the bottom of my trash can.

by:

CIPA - universal mirrorsDespite claims - any distance off paved roads and even on rough pavement, the mirros move out of position and are thus useless.

The idea is great, but appears they were not sufficiently tested in less than perfect conditions. Specifically, we have a 2005 Dodge Duranco and the adjustable legs simply do not adjust adequately to the mirror to keep them in place and in line, no matter how well tightened. On perfect smooth road they are fine, but as soon as there is even minor roughness they shift out of line.

by:

Does not stay putI also have had to put up with the *reed* whistle, annoying but tolerable (will try twisting the strap next use). You do have to exercise caution when attaching to vehicle mirror. The clip hooks can interfere with the vehicle mirror adjustment. I also found that no matter what I tried, with all 3 feet firmly on the back of my mirror and the straps as tight as possible the mirrors would gradually move around to the point they were unusable. (Lexus RX350 SUV) speeds 60 to 70 MPH

by:

Could not adjust mirror inward to even see my trailer. The big kicker was the clips that hold it on the mirrors of my tacoma chipped the chrome off. That really sucked!

by:

Product order and shipment were same day! Excellent fit, no vibrations, and no noise! Thank-you leo

by:

I have not used the mirrors yet, however, after mounting them they seem a bit loose. Probably just me and I hope to update/upgrade this rating after their use.

by:

There are a lot of mirrors out there that are ill fitting which result in poor performance (shaking, rattling, poor adjustment and even falling off the vehicle). I have found this mirror to be the best for my vehicle. It secures to the mirror extremely well, holds true for great visibility, made very well and has multiple adjustment points to fix the mirror right where you want it. The design of this mirror makes it easily adjustable to fit just about any mirror out there. I am extremely happy with this mirror and would highly recommend it.

by:

Ordered product standard delivery USPS on 9/22 at 4P.M. and received it on 9/24 in the afternoon mail.
Great service. Best I have had on the internet.

by:

NoiseyIn centain wind conditions. Usually right angles to the wind, the straps vibrate resulting in loud reed sound.

by:

I could not get the mirrors adjusted for them to be any help whatsoever. I went back on line to try to view the "how to use" video again, but now I do not even find the product on your web site.

by:

Basic product seems good. The suction pads could be a bit better- my MBZ. mirrors are very roundy at the outer edge, and the devise is a bit tricky to tighten enough to seat all 3 pads. Haven't driven with them yet, but hoping they stay put!

  • Towing Mirror Recommendation for a 2014 Honda Ridgeline
For a set of universal towing mirrors I have a solution that would work great, but based on the reviews from our customers for the # 40375 I can't recommend it as an ideal choice. I instead would recommend the part # KS3891 for your vehicle. I attached an install video for these mirrors plus a test course video that shows how stable the mirrors are when travelling down the road. These are our most popular tow mirror because of how well they work so because of that I would recommend them...

  • Towing Mirror Recommendation for 2014 Nissan Titan
For your 2014 Nissan Titan the best towing mirror option we have is the K-Source towing mirror set part # KS3891-2. This is a universal style of mirror but we've found that it fits and works well on your 2014 Nissan Titan. It's very stable and our customers really like it so we recommend it highly. I would not recommend the # 40375 for you as we've found it's not our best option!

There are some great options available for towing mirrors for your 2008 Ford F-150 STX, but the CIPA Customer Towing Mirror # CM11551 does not fit your vehicle. Unfortunately, there aren't any custom-fit towing mirrors for your STX model. Instead, I recommend the CIPA Universal Fit Towing Mirror # 40375. This towing mirror straps on to your factory mirrors to increase the viewing angle of your mirrors for towing and will fit both driver and passenger side mirrors. These are a great option...

  • Will the CIPA Custom Towing Mirror # CM11551 Fit My 2019 Ford F-150 Raptor?
I have a great option for towing mirrors for your 2019 Ford F-150 Raptor. Unfortunately, I confirmed with my contact at CIPA that the CIPA Custom Towing Mirror - Slip On - Driver Side # CM11551 will not fit a 2019 Ford F-150 Raptor. If you are just looking for a driver's side mirror, that is part # 40375. With that being said, we do sell a kit that includes the driver and passenger mirror that will fit your vehicle. That is the CIPA Universal Fit Towing Mirrors - Strap On # 40375-2. With...

  • Comparing K-Source KS3891 and Cipa 40375 Universal Fit Towing Mirrors on 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Both mirrors would work on your Grand Cherokee, but I always recommend the K-Source # KS3891 over the Cipa 11960 (which is our part # 40375) because of the way the mirrors attach to the vehicle's factory mirrors. The K-Source mirror uses 2 ratcheting rubber straps for a tight fit that's allows minimal vibration. Combine this with the mirror's light weight, the mirror is not going to move around, it'll stay where you put it. This is why our customers rate this mirror so highly. The Cipa...

  • Universal Towing Mirror for a 2005 Toyota 4Runner
For your 2005 Toyota 4Runner, I recommend the K-Source Universal Dual Lens, part # KS3990. This set of two mirrors will clip onto almost any mirror with its straps. They have rubber padding on the straps to protect your factory mirrors. They also have a ratcheting system so they will stay snug on the mirrors and reduce the amount of vibration. Another plus is the dual lens that can be adjusted individually, ensuring you get a clear view all around you. The arms also have a pivot joint...

  • Will CIPA Custom Towing Mirrors Work With 2007 Dodge Ram 3500?
The CIPA Custom Towing Mirrors, # CM10700, that you referenced will not fit the extendable mirrors on your 2007 Dodge Ram 3500. Your best option is likely going to be a universal fit towing mirror, such as the K-Source Universal Dual Lens - Pair, # KS3990. These are adjustable and use a ratcheting system to tighten over your existing mirror, as long as those mirrors are between 4-1/2 inches and 11-1/2 inches tall.
