Today we're going to be taking a look at a Shackle with Screw Pin from Brophy. This is going to provide a strong, secure connection point for winching and towing setups. It's going to be great for connecting recovery straps, tow straps, and tree straps. It's going to have the screw pin. This is going to allow the unit to secure quickly and easily, not only to a draw bar connection point, but also just to get the straps in and out. It's a really nice design, you can just twist the pin in and out by hand. The unit is made from a corrosion-resistant galvanized steel.

It's going to feature a safe working load limit of 8,500 pounds, with a maximum load or break strength of 17,000 pounds. The shackle diameter, that's the diameter of this right here, that's going to give us a measurement of one inch. The screw pin is going to give us a diameter of one and one eighth of an inch. The opening, from this point here to this point here, that's going to give a measurement of about one and five eighths of an inch. The opening that we have right here, inside the actual shackle, that's going to be pretty close to two and five eighths of an inch. Then, from the top of the pin to the bottom of the shackle, measuring the opening going this way, we're looking at about three and five eighths inches.
