  • Lasts Season After Season: Manganese-nickel alloy with zinc coating fights rust and outlasts standard steel.

Features to know about

Climbing Steep Icy Roads with Confidence: Square Links Bite Hard

When conditions turn rough in deep snow or on icy climbs, the square links on these Titan Chain Alloy Tire Chains dig in and hold. Their ladder pattern delivers steady forward traction, perfect for getting up steep driveways or through unplowed routes. The heavy 5.5 mm (0.218") thick links are built strong—reviewers say these “will never break.” That solid bite and stout build help you push through where bare tires or lighter chains would spin.

Get Moving Fast When the Snow Hits: Assisted Tension Cams Tighten in Seconds

No fussing or fighting with slack chains here. The built-in cams let you twist them tight around your tires with the included tool—fast and simple, even in bad weather. The assisted tension design keeps the chains snug and centered, while optional rubber or chain adjusters can add an extra layer of hold. Reviewers mention they were “ready to go in two minutes,” which shows just how quick these are to set up when time and temperature aren’t on your side.

Step 1 of Titan Chain installation showing the tire chains laid flat on the ground to remove tangles before mounting on the tire.

Step 2 of Titan Chain installation showing chains being draped over a tire with prongs facing away from the sidewall.

Step 3 of Titan Chain installation showing user connecting and tightening chains behind and on the front of the tire.

Step 4 of Titan Chain installation showing tool inserted into cam to tighten the sidewall chain for a snug fit.

Step 5 of Titan Chain installation showing application of optional rubber tensioners after rechecking chain tension.

Built to Last Through Harsh Winter Use: Manganese Nickel Alloy with Zinc Finish

These chains are made from a corrosion-resistant manganese nickel alloy steel and finished with zinc for extra protection. That means they stand up to road salt, slush, and repeated freeze-thaw cycles without rusting out. The strong cross chains are designed to last 2–3 times longer than standard low-carbon steel chains. It’s a setup built for plowing, mountain driving, or anywhere you need reliable traction season after season.

Keep Your Traction Where You Need It: Works on Front or Rear Drive Wheels

Whether your drive comes from the front or rear, these chains are ready to deliver firm grip. They’re designed to perform on-road in deep snow or icy stretches, making them ideal for winter routes that demand dependable control. Each pair fits tires measuring 15"–17", giving you strong, even coverage with a tight, secure fit once tensioned.

Reliable Winter Backup for Extreme Conditions

When the forecast calls for unpredictable snow or ice, having a set of these on hand means you’re prepared. From emergency traction on back roads to chain-law compliance in mountain zones, this pair gives you that extra assurance to keep moving safely. Strong materials, quick cams, and square link grip—everything you need when traction really matters.

Confirming Your Fit

If you know your tire size, you may think you won't need to test fit your new chains. But there are a lot of variables that can affect whether chains will fit your specific tires, including your tire type, the amount of air pressure in the tire, the amount of tread wear, and the tire manufacturer.

We recommend that you order chains as early in the season as possible to give yourself plenty of time to test fit the chains and reorder if needed. This way, you won't be stuck out in the cold later with snow chains that don't fit.

You can test fit these chains in your garage or driveway, but you'll want to wait until there's snow on the ground to actually drive with them. Likewise, if you're out in the snow and come across bare pavement, you'll want to pull over and remove the chains. These chains can cause damage to the bare pavement, your garage floor, or your vehicle if they break from the wear of riding on a harsh surface.

Mercedes-Benz Sprinter
We purchased these chains for our Mercedes Sprinter 4x4 conversion. I only did a dry fit so far. I can say that these square link chains are heavy duty and appear well made. Cam tighteners snug the chains down tight and the adjusters should keep everything in place. I'll update after use.

Have not used them yet. To warm in the North east right now. Very nice chains. I'm sure they will work. Could us a carry bag though. I'll buy a small tool bag for them...

Two of the edge D loops (at end of the cross chains) are upside down with the wrong side against the tore. It does not lay flush agsinst the tire and sticks against the tire. Could potentially damage the tire. This defect should have been found during a test fit or "QC" and never sold in that condition.

Received excellent service when looking at various snow chain options. Chains were received within a few days from order date.

I have used these chains in Colorado on an icy road towing a trailer and in muddy conditions towing a much larger truck and trailer out of a muddy circumstance. The chains were easy to install - even in the mud and ice and performed fabulously. Make sure you tighten them up well. I have loved these chains.

2016 Jeep Wrangler
I received my order on the 2nd day. great response time. haven't open it yet, winter is a little ways off so i won't Know my satisfaction or dislike till that time comes I plan on this weekend to put both, the blind spot mirrors, and my boat mirror on. I live in Florida so I will know about the boat mirror soon. I bought a little Jeep wrangler for my son who lives in upstate NY (Adirondack mts.) . he owns a restaurant up there and when it snows they charge him a pretty penny to plow it.so I got to get the jeep up there, buy and install a plow for it and walla! thank you for your concern! i'll let you know how it all shakes out.

Sounds great! Make sure to practice getting the chains on and off in your driveway or garage. Kneeling in a snowbank on the side of the highway isnt the time or place to familiarize yourself with the process! For more helpful info on tire chains, take a look at the help article Ive linked for you.

Heavy duty tire chains really worked well in our snowy area. They are fairly easy to put on, and they really grip the snow, with their square chains in the gripping area. They are made of high-quality materials, and the side chains are plated. The unique adjusters are very cool, and eliminate the need for bungees to keep things tight. I am very satisfied.

2019 Toyota Tundra
Getting ready for winter, searched the web and local tire shops for tire chains for my 2019 Toyota Tundra. I found that etrailer.com had the best prices on the above chains plus FREE SHIPPING out to Oregon. The chains arrived on the day they stated. After ups dropped them off I installed them on the Tundra to make sure of a good fit. They fit perfectly. I'll be doing more business with etrailer.com in the future! Thank you Rick

2013 Ford F-150
Received the chains promptly and I feel, for a very fair price. The day after the chains were delivered I got a text from my son with photos, both he and his girlfriend had been successful elk hunting in the mountains. He secured permission from a landowner to allow me to drive in to get closer for retrieving their 2 bulls. With a foot of snow on ice, the chains did a wonderful job getting us out and providing a secure feeling on the otherwise treacherous mountain two track. I chained up in front only (as I normally do) unless I’m in very deep snow. The cams tightened the chains well but I always use tensioners anyway for added insurance. Great job as always etrailer! Many thanks!

2017 Nissan Titan
You folks get 3 stars. Only because I cannot return the unused chains for a credit, (maybe to use on new chains that will fit the slightly larger tires that these chains will not fit). Will be selling these on craigs list and maybe find chains that will fit locally. Two lost sales for you, sounds like policy is starting to impact sales negativity.

Stout chains will get the job done

1996 Dodge Ram Pickup
Awesome set of tire chains! One Winter in the books so far for these chains and they have held up well. The cam adjusters are just the ticket to keep them tight, but I still throw on a set of rubber adjusters, for even more piece of mind.

2016 Ram 1500
They fit very very snug and looks like they won’t break the brake line off my Ram. I did have to bend 2 cross links open and un twist 2 links of the outside chain which I believe was a manufacturing mess up causing one of the cams to dig sideways into the side wall. After that it fit a bit better and won’t damage my tire. Overall very well built and good quality! I would recommend these to anyone who has a Ram! Just check the way it fits before hitting the snow.

2011 Chevrolet Silverado
Fit nicely on 275 65 R18 Silverado. These bailed me out just today! I ordered a pair and dry fitted them on the front of my truck and there is plenty of clearance. I ordered two more so I will be able to chain up all four wheels. Can't testify to their durability, but they appear well built and they are simple to put on with the cam adjusters. Happy with the purchase.
by:
Great product. Easy to install on my bobcat skidsteer tires.. Cams are very helpful in tightening and i have a couple of cams left I can still use to tighten if the chains become a little loose in use. Pushed snow around in my driveway today with ease
by:
These chains are a great item. Easy to put on and cam tighteners are the best! Links are rugged and durable. I use them for plowing and had to deploy them to get my truck out of a deep situation this winter and they worked flawlessly.
by:

  • Are Tire Chains Needed on a 2017 Toyota Tacoma that has 4-Wheel Drive
The need for tire chains all depends on your conditions and needs for driving. Although a 4-wheel drive vehicle should perform better than others in snow you may still need chains. Also, there are parts of the country that require tire chains during certain times of the year and certain weather conditions and many of them are not specific based on your vehicle. They're pretty straightforward-if you don't have chains with you, by law, you can't drive there. The other thing you want to...

  • Do 245/75-16 Tires and 10x16.5 Tires Use the Same Tire Chains
I reached out to my contact at Pewag and there's a chance a single set of chains may fit both tire sizes but there aren't any designed for them. Size 245/75-16 tires use part # TC2221SCAM for square link chains while the 10x16.5 size tires use part # TC3210SCAM. The problem may be that the latter tires are wider causing the cross link chain to be too long for the 245/75-16 tires. With that being said they're not a lot wider, about 1/2 an inch or so depending on the tires so they may...

  • Recommended Tire Chains For 2016 Ram 3500 And Trailer
Based on the size tires you have on your Ram, the tire chains I recommend are part # TC2221SCAM. Square link chains grip better and outperform other style chains. The chains you asked about, part # TC2539 are not a fit for the size tire you have on your Ram. The tire chains I recommend for the tires you have on your trailer are part # TC2517. These are square link steel alloy chains.

  • Tire Chain Recommendation for 1999 Dodge Ram 2500 with Tire Size 245/75-16 for Plowing Driveway
Since you'll be using the chains for plowing a driveway with deep snow primarily I'd recommend a square link set of chains that are confirmed to fit your tire size 245/75-16 like the part # TC2221SCAM. These will install pretty easily and due to their larger link design they will provide you with great traction. This is the chain style that does the best for deep snow like what you described.
