Note: These chains are not intended to be put on commercial vehicles like plows, forklifts, or tow trucks.

Installation

1. Drape the chain over the tire (or both tires of a dual-tire setup), making sure that the center chain is between the tires and that the side chain with the lever is on the outside. Drive forward about 1/4 of a tire revolution. (You can also lay the chain out and then drive onto it.)

2. Reach around behind the tire(s) and fasten the ends of the chain together.

3. Move back to the front of the tire(s) and fasten the ends of the chain together using the built-in lever.

4. Drive forward a bit and tighten the chain as needed by moving the hook to the next link.

You can use rubber or chain adjusters (sold separately) to increase the tension on the chains for a tighter fit.

How to Choose Snow Chains for Your Vehicle

To choose the right snow chains, you must match your tire size. Those measurements can be found on the side of your tire, as shown below.

Tire size on sidewall

185/60-15

  1. (185) - indicates tire width in millimeters
  2. (60) - gives you the aspect ratio (sidewall height as percentage of width)
  3. (15) - denotes the diameter of the wheel rim in inches

  • Recommended Tire Chains for Skid-Steer 10x16.5" Tires
The most common skid-steer tire size is a 10x16.5, if this is what you have then we have some great options. I recommend the Titan Chain Alloy Snow Chains part # TC3210 which are a great cost effective option that will get the job done. The rounded twist links will work on both snow and ice.

  • What Tire Chains do You Recommend for My 285/65-18 Tires?
I have a great tire chain solution for you. Unfortunately, the Titan Chain Snow Tire Chains for Wide Base and Dual Tires - Ladder Pattern - Twist Link # TC3210 is not confirmed to fit the tire size 285/65-18. However, with that being said, we do have a great pair of tire chains for that size. I recommend the Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern - Square Link # TC2327. The reason why I recommend these chains is because they have a link thickness of only 3.7mm (great for...

  • Tire Chains for a 2014 Ford Edge with 245/50-20 Tires
Yes, the Titan Chain Snow Tire Chains part # TC3210 will fit the 245/50-20 tires on your 2014 Ford Edge. I also recommend using the Titan Chain RA10 Rubber Tire Chain Adjuster part # TCOA2 to keep them centered on the tire. Please note that the owner's manual for your vehicle states not to use tire chains with the 245/50-20 tires as there is limited wheel wheel clearance. However, there are certain conditions that require tire chains to be used so I would look at the Titan Chain Alloy Snow...

  • Tire Chain Recommendation that Fits Size 225/65R17
The Titan tire chains part # TC3210 that you referenced are a fit for the tire size 245/70R17 but for the 225/65R17 these are not a fit so you would need a new set like the Titan part # TC1555 which is a confirmed fit and installs easy.

  • Correct Titan Chain Snow Tire Chains for 31x10.5-15
Th correct Titan Chain Snow Tire Chains for Wide Base and Dual Tires for 31x10.5-15 tires is part # TC3227, not part # TC3210. These are excellent options with twist links for great traction in deep snow and ice. There are no cams to come loose either so they will be very reliable. That said, we do recommend adding the Titan Chain RA10 Rubber Tire Chain Adjusters part # TCOA2 to ensure they stay tight.

  • Tire Chain Recommendation and for 2016 Ram 2500
For a 2016 Ram 2500 with tire size LT245/70R17E, LT265/70R18E, LT275/70R18E, or power wagon model LT285/70R17D sized tires you will have limited restrictions because of the U Class clearance on your vehicle (see attached image), you will only be able to equip the rear axle with chains, and cannot exceed 30 mph (48 km/h). Class U chains are for vehicles with more wheel well clearances so the Pewag Mud Service Chain # TC3210, you were looking at, would fit if your tire size was only the...
