Notes:
Once your tire begins to roll, the beads will get distributed around its interior thanks to centrifugal force. As the wheel continues to spin, the heavy spot in your unbalanced tire will pull up and down on your trailer's suspension. This will cause the beads to shift in the opposite direction of that pull. The beads will continue to migrate until there are enough of them on the opposite side of the heavy spot to balance your tire. This process will continue for the life of the tire, constantly and automatically adjusting when necessary.
There is a misconception that trailers do not need to have balanced tires. The truth is, a trailer with unbalanced wheel assemblies will increase the roll resistance for your tow vehicle and create a much bumpier ride. Dragging a trailer with janky wheels can cause your truck to expend a good deal of energy, resulting in higher fuel costs. Fueling your truck can cost you a fortune, so why not do everything possible to cut down on those costs?
Counteract balancing beads were independently tested and shown to improve fuel consumption up 2.2% on semi-truck and trailer combinations, where both the truck and trailer tires were balanced with beads. Not only does balancing your tires help you save money, but the less fuel you use, the better it is for the environment as well. Couple this with the fact that these beads are made from recyclable glass and won't come loose from the tire to contaminate the ecosystem, and you have an overall environmentally friendly product.

Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the Counteract eight ounce single bag of tire balancing beads for trailers. Now, these Counteract balancing beads are the economical way to balance your trailer tire and wheel assembly for the lifetime of the tire. Basically, the beads will just install inside your tire. Now, when you do receive this part number, you'll receive this bag. It'll have a tear top tag up at the top.
I tore it off already just so we can show you what's coming inside the bag. So if we dump everything out, you can see that you're gonna get a eight ounce bag of balancing beads, you're gonna get a vortex valve core, you're gonna get a standard logo valve cap, and then they even include a flow-through cap. Now, the beads themselves are tiny spheres of coated glass. The balancing beads will not cause damage to the inner line of your tire, they won't clump regardless of excess moisture, and they are TPMS compatible. They're environmentally friendly construction with reusable and recyclable beads.
And then how the Counteract bead tire balancing works, just to show you, I'm gonna pop up an insert here. But basically, once your tire begins to roll, this bag is gonna break on the inside, and the beads will get distributed around its interior, thanks to centrifugal force. And as that wheel continues to spin, the heavy spot in your unbalanced tire will pull up and down on the vehicle's suspension, and this will cause the beads to shift in the opposite direction of that pull. And the beads will continue to migrate until there's enough of them on the opposite side of that heavy spot to balance out your tire. Now, these tire balancing beads continuously and automatically readjust the balance of your single trailer tire.
They will reduce vibration, ensure even wear to increase life of the tire, and they'll even help improve fuel economy. As we mentioned, they're an easy installation, you can just throw the inner bag into the tire when it's removed from the wheel, or you can inject the beads into the valve stem. The beads themselves will remain inside the tire, they won't come loose to contaminate the environment, and they'll not cause any damage to the wheels. If the tire has an internal TPMS sensor, you are gonna need to break down the tire to install these beads. Now, when you go to order these, you wanna order the correct amount of beads needed for your application.
So what you're gonna do is you'll get your size of the tire from the sidewall of the trailer tire, and then match it to the tire sizes that'll be listed on the product page for that size bag of beads. But we do offer different size bags, this one's an eight ounce bag, they come in many different sizes that we do sell separately. One thing I wanna note, this eight ounce balancing bead bag is designed for use on trailers with the 9 by 14.5, the 12 by 16.5, and the 17.5 trailer tires that have also a minimum of a half ton suspension. Now, you do not wanna use these beads on passenger cars or SUVs. Now, also, in order to reduce the possibility of any valve leaks, they do recommend to use the Counteract vortex valve core, and either the standard metal valve cap or the flow-through cap in place of the original valve cap. And as you can see, they will be included in every bag of Counteract beads. These parts are made in the USA, and it is for quantity of one bag of beads for one tire. But that should do it for the review on the Counteract eight ounce single bag of tire balancing beads for trailers.
