Hi everyone, Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at this Westin Grate Step. It's a hitch step for two inch hitches and it's a 34 inch wide in a nice black powder coat finish. Now folks, a hitch step can create a platform at the rear of your vehicle. It's made of expanded metal treads that's gonna give you maximum traction and safety, and they have serrated edges to help knock off dirt, grime, snow off your boots and shoes or whatnot, and help keep your interior clean. So it's kind of a dual-purpose.
Now this does support a two inch by two inch application, so a two inch trailer hitch. And as you can see, you've got three different options here. Those are five-eighth inch hitch pin holes. Now a hitching pin and clip would be required to mount this. That is sold separately.
Most likely, you probably already have one, but if you don't, we can get 'em here at etrailer.com separately. Now they have also this hitch stabilizer bracket here that comes with it with all the hardware here. And that's gonna be used and get bolted on here to help stabilize this and just hold it up a lot tighter and more sturdy into place and stuff. So make sure you're reading the instructions to be sure you're getting that installed the right orientation and all those kind of things and then you should be good to go. So again, very nice black powder coat finish over durable steel.
It's not gonna rust or corrode on you anytime soon. It's a nice rectangular shape. Kind of matches the grate step running boards that are out there by Westin. And this again, only weighs about 10 pounds and it is 34 inches wide overall when you measure this way. Now as far as the quick depth or width, however you're looking at it, about six-and-a-half inches.
