Today we are going to show you part number 27-6145 from Westin. This a sure grip running board with a black powder coat finish. The running boards themselves are made out of a high quality aluminum. On top of that the black powder coat finish really helps out to protect the aluminum underneath. It comes with a high grip rubberized step pad. Making it really easy to get in and out of the vehicle. Even if it is a little bit wet you will get some grip on it. The end caps are UV resistant and will not crack or fade under sunlight. The board itself is 93 inches long and 6 inches wide. These boards are also designed for certain vehicles. This one is made for a 2002 to 2006 Chevy Trailblazer. These will also fit a 2002 to 2007 GMC Envoy XL only. Also the 2003 to 2007 Isuzu Ascender 7 passenger. There you have it for part number 27-6145 from Westin.

Order placed 1/1/24. Received 1/4/24. Two boxes, 1 with running boards, second with hardware, all good. 2 black plastic "J-strips" in long box not included on parts list nor described in instructions (packing spacers?). Broke two square head bolts off while tightening nylon nuts holding running boards onto support brackets - very soft, be careful. Running boards otherwise look great and appear well built. Other aspects of install on 2024 4-Runner were straight forward and were completed in about 75 minutes.

VERY happy with the finished product. There were a couple steps not called out in the instructions that I had to figure out*, but once I did... all went together easy enough. First side I installed, the passenger side, took about an hour, and the driver side took about 30 mins.
*First was a trim strip that comes in the box. Had to figure out how to mate them to each running board. Also, on my wife's 2023 4Runner, there was a small (~2" x 5") piece of plastic in front of each rear wheel. My hunch is that it's to protect against stuff getting flung up. Had to remove those from each side to make room for the running boards. Once removed, all just came together easily.
Recieved them this morning and installed them this afternoon. Love them, the width is amazing, very strong and sturdy and they look amazing on the white truck, they almost disappear and look better the factory boards the truck came with. JT was an amazing help in getting the correct ones ordered and shipped in no time!!
No where does it say you need to purchase the mounting hardware separately. I've bought numerous sets of running boards and they've always came with the mounting hardware.

none of the brackets lined up with any of the holes in my frame I was not going to drill holes for 8 brackets I returned these and ordered Aries Nerf Bars
Received the running boards , but no mounting kit. The kit is suppose to arrive on 02/23/2026. per tracking information? cannot mount till the kit arrives. Bummer!!!
Product returned ASAP as after ordering was placed customer service said it would not fit on my vehicle. I now have to pay return shipping.
I installed these on a 2014 Acadia. Installation was easy. Instructions were good. Mounting kit was complete and easy to install. The Lord has blessed my wife and I with good health but as we get older stepping up into a vehicle can be a bit difficult. These running boards work so well. No more difficulties getting in or out. We are very pleased with them. They were ordered on a Wednesday and I received them on that Friday. Thank you for using UPS! I installed them several weeks ago and have had no problems with them. All is good!
Just finished installing the Westin running boards this afternoon. The installation instructions and videos were quite helpful. The only issue was that the instructions did not state which bolts were used for the mounting brackets and which ones were for the running boards, aside from that they were easy to install.
One year later and I forgot I installed em. Just seems like a natural part of the truck now. It's only been one Texas summer but they still look new as the day I got em. A must have for my elder parents to get in and out.
Service was amazing. The Westin running boards were ae advertised. Easy bolt on installation. Only negative was that the T-bolt slots were too tight in spots and the bolts had to be tapped in place. In fact the slot openings had to be filed a bit to allow the bolts to be entered into the slots. Actually just a minor inconvenience. They fit perfectly and look good. Thanks again to Cassondria for all the help.
The runningboards that where installed a year ago are still looking brand new. It made a great addition to my Explorer, not just for the look but for the practical use. My wife who needs that extra step is grateful. etrailer did an awesome job helping picking the right product for my vehicle, the sale and installation.
I purchased these when my spouse was having difficulty getting in our Ford Explorer. They came in quickly, with the running boards in one container and the installation kit in the other. Because I am older I had our local Ford dealer install them for me. They work wonderfully, it is now much easier (for both of us) to get in the car. They look great and are a nice aftermarket addition to our vehicle. I highly recommend them.

The Sure Grip running boards are an excellent choice for my needs! I love the black aluminum with my silver vehicle the wide step is great for stability! I am a handicap senior citizen primary driver and with my bad back, left foot and leg this is making it so easy to get in and out of my vehicle! I just can't even tell you how excited I am thank you so very much for this product! And for my son-in-law and Grandson for installing it!

This is my second set of the Westin sure grip black aluminum running boards. I had the first ones installed on my 2014 tundra. They looked like new the day I traded it in almost 13 years later. This time I got them from etrailer, the price could not be beat. They arrived in just 2 days in perfect condition.(thankfully they use UPS) I installed them myself in just an hour and a half. They look great!
I ordered Westin running boards from etrailer for my brand new 2026 Ford Explorer. I had them installed yesterday at Pangor Cycles, a small shop in Macungie, PA.
