Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this car, LD single custom fit sidestep. This is a rugged die-cast aluminum alloy square edge step that's gonna provide a five inch drop to help you more easily get into and out of your vehicle. This does have a multi-mount installation that's gonna provide a nice, simple and precise fit for your vehicle. This is going to work with a wide range of Ford trucks, including most of the 2015 Newer F-150, the 2017 Newer F-150 Raptor, F-250, F-350, F-450 and F-550, as well as the 2019 Newer Ford Expedition. Now what I say, it's gonna fit most of those.
There are a lot of different packages with those Ford vehicles. So I would encourage you to use our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer.com. You'll select your year, make and model of your Ford truck. And then we'll let you know which packages this will fit with. So you can rest assured that this is gonna work for you so that you don't have to worry about getting it, trying to install it, and finding out not that it doesn't fit.
We do all that work for you to make sure before you even buy it, you'll know if it will work for you or not. So this is the single step. So if you're wanting to replace some of your other car steps, or if you're just wanting a, one side on your driver's side, probably just a single step to get up in there. This will work great for you. If you do want a pair of steps, we do have those available as well, or you can find them using the part number that you see on the screen there.
It's the exact same step. You're just gonna get two of them. So probably one for each side, driver's side and passenger side, to make it easy for you and your passengers to get in. But if you're just getting the one, this is gonna be the option that you need. This is gonna be 14 inches wide by four inches deep.
So it's gonna give you plenty of room to step up on. It's actually gonna extend out two inches farther than most other steps. So you're gonna be able to see where you're stepping out onto as you get out of your vehicle, it's gonna make it easier for you. It's gonna have this non-slip diamond thread for excellent stability, lots of traction here, so that you don't have to worry about your foot slipping off as you're getting in and out. This does have a max weight capacity of 500 pounds. Thanks to our durable die-cast aluminum, aluminum construction. And also because of that aluminum construction, this is gonna be rust-proof. It's gonna resist corrosion, and be very durable for you. It does also have this XP three black powder coat finish that's gonna resist chipping, peeling and fading and give it a nice lightly textured matte black appearance. Fits exactly as described. Very sturdy step! Easy to install with plenty of hardware. Good quality product. Would suggest it to anyone.
I have really like the larger step to be able to use getting in & out of the truck. It has a nice wide and good surface area to feel comfortable and secure placing my foot. The only negative is that it hangs low. If ground clearance is not a thing for you, than this is a great product.

Perfect fit, very sturdy, exactly what I needed for 21 Sprinter
I ordered the side steps at approximately 8:00 PM on Tuesday, December 22 and they were delivered to my house at approximately 11:00 AM on Thursday morning, December 24. The box was carefully packed with steps, bolts, brackets and an instruction sheet. I am converting the steps to mount on a 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon so I do have some additional design work to do. Extremely satisfied with the company, their pricing, and with their efficiency.
Easy to install and holding up well after a year
These steps work perfectly on my 2015 GMC 3500. The only negative is when I emailed etrailer with some installation questions they did not respond. I figured it out via uTube.
I received the step(s) in good condition and they appear to be strong. However, I do have issues with the installation drawing. I cannot make heads or tails from it. I've looked at other drawings for this item that fit other vehicles and the drawings are spot on. The drawing for my model, (2005 Freightliner Sprinter) is really bad.
I think this is a class operation professional and quality parts I like etrailer .
Mounted step about halfway on front edge of seat. Entering truck, my foot placement is towards the back of the step. Exiting the truck, my foot placement misses the step. I would move the step further back (front edge of step with front edge of seat) if I was to install another set. Mounting hardware does not sit perfectly against frame due to rivets, bolts, and other structural members of the truck. Final location is somewhat dictated by these obstacles. Used supplied and extra shims to fill in gaps between frame and mounting brackets. Final install was solid and product is well made.
I like! Longer and flatter than hoops, easier to use and good traction with muddy or wet boots. Would buy again.
I just needed a clean, simple step for my wife @5’3” to get into our 2010 K1500.

Great quality but a bit overpriced
The quality of these steps are great however to say they “fit” the Mercedes Sprinter is quite deceiving. When installed as per the instructions, you have only 5” of ground clearance remaining. My fear is that the first irregular driveway will rip them off as they are so low to the ground.

Fit was perfect, took and hour for both sides, very strong, functional and looks good.
Nice and solid, wife is thrilled that her knees will survive. Install is much easier with a set of transfer punches and a small C-clamp. Have someone stand on it while tightening the bolts. Very happy with them.
Jus' finished the install. The actual step itself seems super quality excited about that. The self tap screws were too weak for the truck steel no matter what approaches were tried so that final step I have to order better screws for this situation. I personally do not like gold... minor detail would be nice if the hardware was black to blend better. Ended up paintin' everything so it blends. Maybe it's a newby speakin' but as a 130lb female it was not easy drillin' through the metal. Upgradin' the drill bits. Everything else seems quality just I could see where someone buys this and thinks it's an easy install. It's work. I would suggest better install videos couldn't find anything online to really guide only videos that the steps should be purchased. Thankfully I have an experienced mechanic in my life I could lean on. We shall see how they last.
i wish all the fasteners were stainless steel, but the steps were solid and sturdy, and they fit a 2026 chevy silverado 2500hd just fine.
i went thru a bunch of HSS drill bits going thru the pinch welds and eventually wound up drilling in stages: 1/8", 3/16" and finishing with a good stepped drill bit to get to 5/16" for the larger bolts. took me a lot longer than 30 min per step as i was crawling under the truck without a lift or mechanics creep.
