Hi there, truck and SUV owners! today we're going to be taking a look at Aries line of three inch round nerf bars. Nerf bars are a great addition to your vehicle, whether you're wanting it just for the style and how it looks, or if you're wanting it to help you get in and out of your truck to make things easier. And maybe it's not just for you, maybe this is for some of your passengers. Maybe you have smaller children that have a harder time getting in and out. And the step here is going to make it easier for them to do so, whether it's in or out by giving them an additional step that is closer to the ground. And if you have a lifted truck, it's definitely going to make a big difference there in helping you get in and out of that truck as well.
And they can be invaluable for those that have mobility issues. The large step here is going to give you a nice flat surface that's lower down than your vehicle. So you get an additional step to get up in and it has raised surfaces on it as well so that way you can have sure-footing in all different inclement weathers Whether it's wet outside or you've got snow on your foot that'll squish down under your weight into the grooves and allow you to get traction onto the raised areas. These running words from Aries will run the complete cab of your truck front to back and you'll receive one for each side so that way all of your passengers will be able to get in and out easily. Whether they're getting in the back or in the front.
Some other options out there are just regular steps. And a regular step is just for a single door. So with those, you would want to have one on each door. If you've got multiple doors, just increases the cost. With this, you cover all the doors with one simple setup.
And I personally like the look of the running board. It kind of has, the nerf bar here kind of has a more factory look, similar to that of like a running board. Whereas the steps, they're kind of a more aggressive look cause they're only in certain locations just to help you get in and out. And while running boards offer similar mobility assistance in getting in and out of the vehicle and running front to back, they don't taper and to your vehicle like nerf bars do. I personally like the look of nerf bars a little bit better than running boards but that really all comes down to personal taste.
And these aren't just useful for getting in and out of the vehicle but they're also useful for getting to things that's on top of the vehicle. If you have a roof-mounted system up there where you maybe have a cargo box or a bike rack, it can be difficult to get items on. I'm pretty tall so, some of those items are no big deal but if you're to have a bike rack up on here I definitely appreciate this running board. Cause even though I'm a little over six feet tall, I'd have a real hard time getting a bike on here without that extra step. And one of the things I always like to check with nerf bars cause I always have a concern of, 'how durable is this' I've got some larger friends at home. Are we going to have any issues if we're both getting in and out of this truck So I like to check to see the stability and everything that I've tested from Aries is very strong. You can see we've got almost no flex in our system here. We're really just rocking the suspension of the truck. So I feel plenty confident that this is going to last a very long time. And any of my friends, we should have no problem getting in and out of this. Even if we're stepping on it at the same time. Now whatever truck or SUV you may have, these are all custom-fit for your particular vehicle. So you want to make sure you use our fit guide to ensure you're getting the correct ones. The nerf bars and the brackets are going to be custom for that particular vehicle. So the look is going to be similar but it might be a little longer, a little shorter. It may stick out a little further. It just depends on that particular body style. But most of them are going to be fairly similar to this and they're going to have similar bracketry. And from what I found with a lot of these Aries bars is they're an extremely easy bar to install. In most cases, there's pre-existing holes and you get all the hardware you need. And sometimes there's even pre-existing studs or weld nuts. So that basically just bolts up in most cases. And now regardless of the color of your vehicle, there are going to be two different options as far as the color of our nerf bars. You can get the black powder coat finish like we're showing off here. And this is going to integrate it and give kind of a more factory look. It's going to be noticeable. It's going to help it look more aggressive, but it's not going to detract away from the vehicle. It's not going to be an eye popper that draws your eyes. There's also a Chrome finish. That's going to be very reflective and that's going to draw a lot of attention. If you are modifying the vehicle more for the looks then the performance you might consider the Chrome because that's really going to be an eye grabber. And that completes our look at Aries' line of three inch round nerf bars..

The product seems very solid, stable and high quality. I think it looks great on my Explorer and it makes getting in and out of it a breeze for my children. Make sure you lay out all of your pieces to make sure you have everything you need though. I would have easily given these 5 stars, but there was a few issues. Mine came missing 10 washers. Absolutely nothing was labeled. The instructions were so faded that I had to go online for them and had to guess if I was using the right part in the right spot. Other than that, the install should really only take about 30 minutes.
bars have made getting in and out of the truck so much easier and they look great.
Everything about this purchase was easy. Easy to find, purchase and install. Shipping was on time also. Excellent fit on my daughter's GMC Canyon. They look great too.

The product was identical to the one I purchased 12 years ago when I purchased the vehicle. It installed easily and quickly, once the old one was removed, which was interesting.
The installation on the product was very easy, anyone with minor mechanical skills can easily install these bars themselves. I had several complements about how they look on my truck. There were a few minor problems with the shipping but the customer service took care of it promptly. I would highly recommend the company and product.
Once my set of nerf bars arrived my nephew installed them .Installation was easy and simple in 30 minutes he had them installed.They make my truck look awesome.
Today is the 1 year anniversary, of the purchase of my Aries nerf bars from etrailer, I have to say the installation was a breeze, and all the hardware was included. The bars still look as good as the day I installed them.
Received the running boards around 4pm and had them installed within the hour. They were worth the money, time and looks. Fantastic.
Etrailer was very helpful and great service and I have ordered several items from them and always been happy, with that said, These nerf bars worked and looked good at the start, but they started rusting out in about 6 months. I would not get these and go with ones that have a different finish on them. Here are current pictures after a couple years. I kept them clean and if we had snow in St Louis, I would always wash them after I drove in case salt got on them but look at the pictures, I have to order more now, Quality is not there on these
I really wanted to buy Westin 3" bars but could not get any definite answer to the question of whether they would fit a Tacoma with factory mud flaps. The Aries provided PDF instructions with picture, so I went with them. The Aries are of less quality than the Westins because the end caps are plastic and not welded. Also, the foot pads seem to be attached with tabs so have to assume there are holes in the flat spots for attaching pads. I will attempt to seal everything with silicone. The good news is that they are a breeze to install and fairly light. What I wanted most of all was side protection and the Aries should provide that well. On hindsight, I would order the Westins.
Do yourself a favor and buy something else. The finish was decent, but did not fit my truck without modification and was very flimsy. Buyer beware.

I absolutely love them!!! The basic installation was super easy. The additional support straps require a little creativity but don't be afraid to cut and bend them (support straps, not the tubes) to make a nice support! My bars are solid as a rock, not like most add on steps that wobble when you get in and out of your truck!!
When the box arrived it was in pretty bad shape and I thought this was going to be a mess. After opening I saw everything was packed really well and there was zero damage. I bought these so my wife would be able to get in the truck with minimal effort and they made it easy for her. They look good and it would have only taken me about 30 min for each side if I didn't have a diesel DEF tank to get in the way. It took some effort but the job got done and they really look good. They are well built and I would definitely recommend them to others. The only issue I have is that it would have looked much better if the bolts nuts and washers were black also.
Small dents in bottom of nerf bar. One area the paint came off I had to repaint to hopefully stop any rust. Didn’t want to hassle with a return. The dents are minor so I will keep them.

[Very nice product. But unfortunately, I have a small bump on the left foot step. The box is in very good condition, and the packaging inside was okay too. I am sending you pictures. Excellent instructions, and really was a 30-40 minute install. I think they look like they came with the truck. Would recommend.
I have ordered a couple of items from etrailer. Shipping is fast and website is easy to navigate. On this order, even before it arrived, I noticed it cheaper on another site. Etrailer refunded 110% of the difference in the delivered price even before the product arrived. Excellent! Installation was very easy however I had to make a slight modification. Not all of the existing bolts on the truck were long enough to accept the flat washer and then the lock washer. There were no threads left for the nut. Easy fix. I wired brushed the bolts and cleaned the provided nuts to remove any oil. I then used automotive grade thread locker. The side bars are nice and solid and make getting into my Nissan Frontier much easier.
Very excited about my new Nerf bars. Shipping was great and installation was quite easy. Good instructions are included. It took us under one hour to install both. They look great and definitely help stepping in and out.
