Video Transcript for WeatherTech Front Side Window Air Deflectors Install Guide - 2025 Ford F-150

Hello neighbor, this is Curt with etrailer and today we're gonna be taking a look at the WeatherTech Front Window Deflectors and how to install them on our 2025 Ford F-150. Now, wind deflectors are a really nice little item to have on your truck. Reason being is that you can crack your windows and avoid all of that extra wind noise and things blowing around inside the vehicle. This is gonna allow you to ventilate, let heat out when it's parked, all these kind of things to make the vehicle more comfortable. These are an acrylic, they're very durable, but also flexible for the install. And when it comes to the install, you don't really need any tools.

The only thing you're gonna need is the tool that's provided by WeatherTech in the box already. So let's go ahead and take a look at how we got these installed. We've already done our driver's side, so let's go over to the passenger's side and put those in. First thing that we want to do is prep the area. So in order to do that, just take the tool that's provided to you from WeatherTech, go ahead and wrap a shop towel or a paper towel around it, and we're just gonna run it up inside the window seam here.

And we're just gonna use this to sweep it back and forth until we get everything cleaned out and we don't end up with any dirt or debris left on it. Now this could take a few swipes through, I've noticed. So just, you know, when you're done with one sweep, just, you know, you could see the dirt on it, just move it to a different part of a cleaner tile. And I'd just like to keep doing this until I no longer have any dirt on the tile from that section. Once that happens, I'm gonna move on to a different section and maybe just kind of sweep up in here a few times.

Still getting some dirt out of it, I'm just gonna keep doing that back and forth until it's clean all the way up to the end up here. Since we're working on the passenger side, you want to end up grabbing the piece that's etched with an R, R for passenger side, L for driver. You're gonna find that up here at the top. It's gonna be really hard to see on camera. It's just barely etched in to this tinted acrylic right here.

But this is the R. You could also tell because the bottom of it is gonna have this kind of little notch right here, and that's where we're gonna start the installation. This is gonna go in at the front corner right up here. What you want to do is just slide it in between the weather strip and the window seam here. Whoops. And what I'm gonna end up doing is just sliding this forward here until it wedges in between those seals. Now you could take a couple tries, make sure you get in there seated properly, but once it's in there, just like that, don't try to work it in. At this point, we need to use this flexibility to make sure that we get the back end here seated as well. Now once we've got that, we could kind of start to work it in and we wanna work it in from the front up into the back. So I'm gonna come down here and these are, again, (deflector clicks) I know it can be a little bit frightening to snap these. These are pretty strong and pretty flexible though, so I'm just gonna keep working my way, all the way up the window to the end. If I work my way in, we get it all the way seated. Now I'm gonna push it and press it to make sure it's as deep in that channel as possible. We want this to be seated as far out from the vehicle as we can get it while it's still in this channel. Reason being is we need to still have room for the window to come up in between here. And one of the really tricky parts is down here at the bottom, that part, we wanna make sure that we kind of move over and out as much as we can. Just make sure it's seated a little further away. And I'm gonna do that all along the entire window. I just wanna make sure that this ends up being as far forward as possible. We can go ahead and roll the window up slowly in increments. We don't want to just power it up all the way. There's a tricky spot down here with that little tab down at the bottom corner down here. I'm gonna roll this up slowly and as I do, I'm gonna try to make sure this is seated forward. Generally speaking, if I run into snags while putting these in, it's usually in this area here, because the window from the bottom wants to catch onto it. So I'm just going to kind of make sure I position it forward a little bit. Go ahead and just inch it up a little bit at a time, until it comes all the way up. But again, don't just power this all the way up, all the way. We want to kind of move it in little pieces as much as we can. And then once we get it all the way up, I'm just gonna double check out here. Everything's really kinda right, exactly where I want it to be. So this is looking pretty good as far as I'm concerned. Now, it does still take some time for this to get seated properly, so once you get your windows rolled all the way up, plan on leaving them up for at least 48 hours. If it's consistently under 60 degrees, I would probably give it one more day on top of that. But at a minimum, you want to keep these windows up for 48 hours. That's gonna mold this a lot better into the window sill while the window is up. Therefore, it's gonna be able to freely move up and down in the future. That was a look at the installation of the WeatherTech Front Window Deflectors on our 2025 Ford F-150. And if after watching this video you've still got some questions about them or the installation, or maybe you've picked these up yourself and you've got some experience to share, go ahead and leave those in the comments below. Sharing your questions and your stories with other neighbors just like you can help them to make the best decision for themselves. Once again, this is Curt with etrailer. Thanks for stopping by.
