When you’re running dual wheels, offset spacing matters as much as strength. This Americana steel wheel is rated to handle 6,200 lbs and has a built-in 5.59" offset so it can serve as either the inner or outer wheel in a dual setup. It’s hub-piloted for a precise fit on the hub and meets DOT specifications for reliable performance.
Moisture, salt, and road grime can chew through bare metal fast. This wheel’s silver powder coat is laid over an e-coat primer for a tough, layered finish that resists rust season after season. It holds up to regular use in damp conditions without losing its clean look.
Getting the right fit is all about the details. This wheel measures 17-1/2" in diameter by 6-3/4" wide, uses an 8 on 6-1/2" bolt pattern with a 4.76" pilot diameter, and takes 5/8"-18 flange nuts (sold separately). The solid steel build gives it the stiffness and durability needed for long-term use under heavy loads.
The hub-piloted design centers the wheel directly on the hub instead of the lugs, giving smoother alignment and even load distribution across both wheels in a dual configuration. It’s an easy way to build a strong, stable foundation when pairing inner and outer wheels on the same axle.

1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Americana Silver Dual Wheel with Offset. Now, this heavy-duty steel wheel with the capacity of 6,200 pounds has two hand holes, and this is designed to be used in a dual wheel setup. The 5.59-inch offset is going to allow the wheel to be positioned closer to the trailer frame when used as an inner wheel of the setup. And this is gonna be the orientation for the inner wheel. And then if you use this, use this wheel in the outer position in this orientation here, that offset is going to ensure that it will sit closer to the outside of your trailer.
Now, this steel wheel is sturdy and corrosion-resistant. It does feature a silver powder coat finish over an e-coat primer. This is a hub-piloted wheel, which means it will center on the hub of your axle, not on the lugs. The pilot hole diameter is 4.76 inches. This does require the use of flange nuts for installation, and we do sell them separately here at etrailer.com.
This does use the wheel lug size of 5/8 of an inch by 18 flange nut, and you can find them on the Related Products section on the lower portion of this product page. Now, this wheel does meet the Department of Transportation specifications. The diameter of this wheel is 17 1/2 inches, the width is 6 3/4 inches, and the bolt pattern is eight on 6 1/2 inches. And the first number on the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes, obviously, but that second number is the diameter in inches of the circle on which these bolt holes sit. So, to determine the bolt circle diameter on wheels with an even number of bolt holes as we have here, you're simply going to measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it.
Well, that's gonna wrap up our real quick look today. I do hope that our time together was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
