Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this Kenda K3012 Reaper lawnmower turf tire. Now, you're probably looking at this tire and you're wondering what in the world is wrong with it Well, I wanted to mention right at the beginning of our time together that this is typically what tires look like if they're shipped to you. So in case you didn't know that, your tire more than likely will arrive looking pretty close to this. Warped, lopsided, out of shape.
But that's normal. Once you get this mounted and inflated, all that's gonna go away and it's gonna look like a normal tire. So, just didn't want you to be worried when you got your tire from us. Looking like this is gonna be normal before you inflate it. But this tire is designed specifically for zero-turn mowers and lawn tractors, so this is gonna be a great fit for you both for residential and light commercial mowing.
One of its biggest advantages is its wider footprint. Now, that's gonna spread the mower's weight out more evenly, which is gonna help reduce ground pressure, protect your turf, and give you a smoother, more stable ride overall. Now, from a fit and durability standpoint, this is going to mount on a 12 inch by 8 1/2 inch wheel. And our tire size here as we have stamped, this is a 24 by 12 by 12 size tire. And when this is fully inflated, the diameter is gonna be just about 23 inches, a little bit over.
And this is a four-ply bias tire with the load range B, meaning it's built to handle everyday mowing demands without being overly stiff. There's no tube required and it can carry up to 1,260 pounds at speeds up to 10 miles per hour. This does have a maximum inflation pressure of 12 PSI, and hopefully you can get a good view of the tread here even though it's kind of warped here. The tread is aggressive enough to give you solid traction, especially on hillsides or uneven ground, but it's designed not to tear up your finished lawn, so you're gonna get confident grip without scuffing or leaving marks behind. This Reaper tread pattern also helps reduce slipping when you're mowing slopes, so you're gonna feel more in control.
Another nice benefit is this self-cleaning tread design. The open spacing between the lugs is gonna let grass clippings, dirt, and debris fall away instead of packing in. So, traction's gonna stay consistent while you're working, but overall, this is going to be a pretty solid choice if you want dependable traction, good turf protection, and a tire that's gonna hold up well for regular mowing. Just keep in mind that this is meant strictly for off-highway, turf care use. So, this isn't designed for roads or highways.
