Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this Kenda K3012 Reaper Lawnmower Turf Tire. Now this tire is made specifically for zero turn mowers and lawn tractors, so this is gonna be a great fit for both residential and commercial turf mowing. This is designed strictly for off-highway use, meaning it's built for lawns and not pavement. Now as far as sizing and capability goes, this is going to fit a 12 inch by eight and 1/2 inch wheel.

And as we have stamped here on our tire, this is a 23 by 10.5 by 12 size tire. This section width is just over 10 inches and the overall diameter when inflated is about 22.8 inches. This is a 4-ply bias tire, meaning it has a load range B rating and it doesn't require a tube. Each tire can handle up to 1,340 pounds at speeds up to 10 miles per hour with the maximum inflation pressure of 20 PSI. Now you might notice that my tire here is a little bit lopsided.

It's a little bit warped, and that's normal for tires that are shipped. So you will probably receive your tire in much the same condition, but that's all gonna go away once you get this mounted and inflated. So the misshapen nature of the tire when you get it is nothing to worry about. Now, one of the big advantages of this tire is a wider footprint, that spreads the mower's weight out more evenly, which is gonna help reduce ground pressure. So in simple terms, it's easier on your lawn and gives you a smoother, more stable ride while you're out mowing.

The tread, as you can see here, this is gonna strike a nice balance between traction and turf protection. The aggressive Reaper tread gives you solid grip, especially when you're turning or mowing on slopes, but it's designed not to tear up or scuff finished grass. So that's gonna make this a good option if you mow hillsides or uneven ground and you want to stay in control without damaging your turf. This also has a self-cleaning tread pattern. The open spacing between the lugs let's dirt, grass, and debris clear out as you drive.

So traction's gonna stay consistent instead of getting packed up. Now, overall, I think this is gonna be a solid choice if you want better traction, less turf damage and dependable performance on flat ground or slopes while you're out mowing.
