Skip the tire shop and get right to work. This Kenda Karrier KR53 combo comes pre-mounted and aired up, so you can bolt it on and hit the road right out of the box. The ST225/75R15 radial tire is already installed on a 15" galvanized spoke steel wheel with a 6 on 5-1/2 bolt pattern, giving you a solid, balanced setup with zero extra steps.
When you’re carrying serious weight, this tire is built to handle it. The Load Range D KR53 supports up to 2,540 lbs at 65 psi, backed by a strong sidewall and an 8-ply rating for dependable hauling. Whether it’s daily duty or weekend gear, that kind of capacity keeps your trips smooth and worry-free mile after mile.
Moisture and road grime don’t stand a chance against this finish. The galvanized spoke wheel resists rust and corrosion, making it ideal for long-term use in harsh or humid conditions. Year after year, it stays looking sharp while holding up under heavy loads and frequent towing.
Long drives feel steady with the KR53 tread design that tracks straight and grips the road confidently. Its radial construction helps reduce heat buildup and promotes even wear, which means cooler running and longer tread life when you’re clocking miles in hot or rough conditions.
Kenda backs this combo with a simple promise—if the tire fails under normal use within the first year, it’s replaced. It’s peace of mind built right in, so you can haul knowing your setup is covered from the start.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look together at this Kenda Carrier KR53 ST225 75 R15 radial trailer tire mounted on this 15 inch galvanized spoke wheel. Now this pre-mounted tire and wheel combo is built to handle your gear with ease. It does come ready to roll right out of the box. It's already mounted and aired up, so you're gonna be able to skip the extra steps and get back to hauling. So whether you're upgrading a worn out setup or you're prepping a brand new trailer, this assembly is gonna make installation quick and simple.
So at the heart of this setup is this ST 225 75 R15 radial trailer tire. And this is designed to be used on trailers only. It's not designed to be used on standard vehicles. And this is designed for durability and steady performance mile after mile. This does have a load range D, which means it has an eight ply rating, and it supports up to 2,540 pounds at 65 PSI, giving you the strength and the stability that you need for heavy hauling from work trailers to weekend adventures.
This tire also has a speed rating of N that indicates a maximum speed of 87 miles per hour. Now this KR53 Kenda tire tread is all about confident highway handling. It gives you stable tracking and strong road grip, keeping your trailer steady and predictable, whether you're cruising down the interstate or maneuvering through back roads. And because this is a radial trailer tire, this is gonna run cooler and it's gonna wear more evenly than bias ply tires. That means longer tread life, smoother performance, and less heat buildup on those long trips.
So you're gonna be able to tow farther with peace of mind. Fuel efficiency is also gonna get a boost thanks to this KR53 low profile lightweight design. It's gonna help your trailer roll more smoothly, help reduce drag, and saving you a bit at the pump on every haul. So as I mentioned, this tire is mounted on this 15-inch galvanized spoke steel wheel. This combo is made to handle those tougher jobs and tough conditions.
The galvanization process, as you might know, coats the steel in a protective zinc layer, so that's gonna help the wheel resist rust and corrosion. So this assembly will be perfect for marine use, wet roads, or long-term outdoor storage. Now measuring the wheel itself, beginning with the diameter, measuring bead seed to bead seed is 15 inches, and then the width of the wheel is six inches. So this is gonna give you a sturdy platform for the tire. And this is built with a six on 5 1/2 inch bolt pattern. That's a heavy duty fit for larger utility equipment, cargo and livestock trailers. And in case you don't know how to measure your bolt pattern, of course the the first number of the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. And then the second number is the diameter in inches of the circle on which the bolt hole sit. So to measure that bolt hole diameter on wheels with an even number of bolt holes as we have here, you simply measure from the center of any bolt hole to the bolt hole directly across from the first, so center to center. This does use half inch by 20 wheel bolts and the pilot diameter is 4.27 inches and the wheel itself is rated at 2,830 pound capacity. If you happen to have any other questions, whether it's about this assembly or anything else that we carry here at etrailer, don't hesitate to reach out to us 'cause ultimately, we wanna make sure that you're getting exactly what you need. Well, again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
