Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this Kenda Karrier KR35 ST235/80R16 Load Range E radial trailer tire mounted on this 16-inch black mod steel wheel. Now, this trailer and tire wheel combo is going to be a heavy-duty option for you to consider. It's designed for larger trailers that need dependable highway performance and strong load support. This comes ready to install with the tire already mounted on this wheel, so that's gonna help save you time and make replacement or upgrades a whole lot easier.
So, as I stated at the beginning of our time together and as we have stamped here on our tire, this is an ST235/80R16 radial trailer tire and this tire is designed for trailer use only, not on vehicles. Our wheel measuring beat seat to beat seat, it's 16 inches in diameter. And this is a modular black steel wheel and one of my favorite features here is it features this double red pinstripe around the inside perimeter. So, it's going to give you a nice custom look and a classic, but yet modern. The wheel itself, we talked about the diameter is 16 inches.
The width of the wheel is six inches, so it's gonna give you proper support for those heavier trailer applications. The tire is a Load Range E. It means it has a 10-ply rating and is built to handle a demanding towing conditions. The tire is rated to carry up to 3,500 pounds at 90 PSI in a single wheel setup. So, this is gonna be ideal for equipment trailers, utility trailers, RVs, goosenecks, and other heavy-duty applications.
In a dual wheel setup, each tire is gonna be rated for 3,197 pounds at 90 PSI. The KR35 radial tire tread that we have here is specifically engineered for trailer use, as I mentioned. And the tread design focuses on stable highway towing, smoother ride quality, and even tread wear. So, that means better long distance performance, reduced rolling resistance, and longer tread life over time compared to your more basic trailer tires. This wheel does use a very common eight on six and a half inch bolt pattern which fits many heavy-duty trailer hubs.
By the way, if you need help measuring your bolt pattern on your trailer to make sure that this works for you, on this product page, if you scroll down a little bit lower, we walk you through step by step how you can measure your bolt pattern, again to make sure that this is going to be what you need. This is designed for half-inch by 20 wheel bolts and this has a pilot hole diameter of 4.90 inches. The wheel itself is rated slightly higher than the tire at 3,750 pounds, but you are limited by the lowest rated component, so that will be the tire.
