The Dexstar Steel Spoke Trailer Wheel is rated at 3,960 lbs of capacity and meets Department of Transportation standards, giving you dependable strength for long runs under load. It’s a solid match for heavy-duty tires running up to 110 psi when paired with the right valve stems.
Moisture, salt, and road grime can ruin a wheel fast, but this one’s built to keep corrosion in check. The steel construction is finished with an e-coat primer and a tough white powder coat that seals out rust and keeps the wheel looking clean through seasons of use.
Getting the right fit is simple. This wheel uses an 8 on 6-1/2 bolt pattern, fits 1/2"-20 or 9/16"-18 studs, and has a 0 offset with a 4.90" pilot diameter. Those specs make it easy to match up lug nuts, valve stems, and center caps so installation goes smoothly.
Every part of this wheel is designed for confidence on the road. The sturdy steel construction holds true under load, the eight-spoke design adds rigidity, and every unit meets DOT specifications for quality and reliability mile after mile.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Good, heavy duty wheel for use with 12 ply tires
My Dexter 16” rim arrived much earlier than I was expecting. I am very pleased with this trailer tire rim. It is heavy duty with 8 lug holes. I am replacing the rims on my 40’ gooseneck trailer and seeing the quality I will be ordering more. I also ordered new metal valve stems that will accommodate over 100 psi. One nut was missing on one of the valve stems but I should be able to locate one locally. I might add that Geoffrey was a great help to me in ordering what I needed.
