When a trailer hits bumps or uneven ground, the suspension needs to share that impact across the axles. This 18-3/8" long equalizer links 2-1/2" wide slipper springs on tandem- or triple-axle setups, transferring the load from one axle to the other so the trailer rides smoother and the weight stays balanced. It’s built for general-duty 10,000-lb Dexter axles, helping keep the suspension working evenly mile after mile.
Uneven suspension geometry can make a trailer pitch or sway. This equalizer keeps everything aligned with a 1" center bolt hole and 3/4" side bolt holes for proper spring mounting. The design lets one spring attach through a bolt at the eye while the other slips into the arched end, giving the whole setup a stable connection that tracks straight and handles bumps with less bounce.
Getting the right hardware for slipper springs is key to keeping the suspension tight. This left-hand equalizer is made for 2-1/2" wide slipper springs with 3/4" rubber-bushed eyes, giving a snug, proper fit. It’s designed to work with a center hanger (sold separately) and allows for 42-1/4" axle spacing, so the geometry stays correct and the springs move freely without binding.

Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at an Equalizer for 2 and 1/2 inch wide slipper springs. Now this Equalizer connects slipper springs on dual or triple axle trailers. You would attach one spring with a bolt through the eye, and that would attach on this end of the Equalizer, and then you would slip the arched end of the other spring onto the Equalizer, which would be at this connection point here.And then the Equalizer suspends from a center hanger from the trailer frame. Center hangers are sold separately. If you need one, you can find them at etrailer.com.
