Hello, everybody this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this 14 and 1/4" long equalizer for a three inch wide slipper springs. Now this equalizer's gonna connect your slipper springs on a tandem or triple axle trailer and it transfers the impact between the axles to ensure that the load is evenly distributed. This will result a nice smooth ride for your trailer and it does allow for 38" axle spacing. Now this equalizer's gonna suspend from a center hanger, the center hanger we do sell separately on our website. The center hanger will attach to the center bolt hole, the center bolt hole has a diameter of 1 1/8".
We mentioned it fits a three inch wide slipper leaf spring. It'll fit this one inch diameter with a one inch diameter eye, so basically you're gonna attach one of the ends of the spring with a bolt through this eye right here. And on the other end here you're gonna slip the arched end of the other spring into the equalizer on this end. As we mentioned overall length 14 and 1/4", height six inches tall. The inside width where your leaf spring's gonna go is three inches.

I decided to call etrailer after my wife drove to a local trailer parts supplier and spent 2 hours dealing with incompetent people and still was sold the incorrect parts. I spoke to Natalie and was impressed by her knowledge of the old design Dexter suspension that I was working on. I ordered and actually received the correct parts the first time around. The spring equalizers, spring eye bushings and all the pins were high quality parts. The part sent was supposed to be for the right hand side of the trailer, and as pictured would have the square pin hole on the outside of the equalizer allowing for greasing of the spring eye bolt without crawling under the trailer. The part received had the square pin hole on the left or inside of the equalizer, and although able to be assembled this way, will require going under the trailer to grease.
