When you’re locking down a heavy axle, you need a plate that can handle the load. This U-bolt plate is designed for 7,500-lb solid-bar axles, giving your suspension a firm and reliable connection point. It keeps the axle and leaf springs tight under weight so your trailer tracks steady mile after mile.
Getting the fit right makes all the difference in how the suspension works. This plate matches round, 2-1/2" diameter trailer axles and 2" wide leaf springs, so everything lines up cleanly. The bolt hole spacing—2-5/8" side to side and 3-1/4" front to back—makes it easy to position the U-bolts and clamp the assembly down securely.
A solid connection starts with strong hardware. This plate uses two 9/16" diameter round U-bolts (sold separately) to grip the axle and spring pack. The size and layout are made for dependable clamping force, keeping the axle locked in place even when the road gets rough.
If your setup uses 1-3/4" wide leaf springs instead of 2", this plate still works with the right U-bolt. The small 1/8" gap doesn’t affect the clamping ability, so you can count on a secure fit without compromising strength or stability.

Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at a U-bolt plate for two and a half inch diameter round trailer axles. Now, this plate is used with U-bolts to secure an axle to the leaf springs, which are mounted to the trailer frame. It attaches with two, nine-16th inch diameter round U-bolts. U-bolts are sold separately and available at etrailer.com. It fits round trailer axles with a two and a half inch diameter. We can tell that by taking a measurement from the edge of this hole to the edge of that hole.
So, we place a ruler on there, and we take that measurement, we can see that that measures right around two and a half inches.This is designed for use with 7500 pound solid bar axles. It works with two inch wide leaf springs. The plate is made from a durable steel construction. The plates seem to be made well. I haven't had time to install them. So im hopeing they fit well. Shipping was poor through the postal service. They were supposed to be here on 9-2 but dident show up until 9-8. But I know you guys can't control Shipping. The product seems to be made well.
