Features to know about

Better Fender Visibility Front and Back: Dual-Face Amber and Red LEDs

This Thinline LED fender light shines amber to the front and red to the rear so others can see your trailer clearly in both directions. The clear lens covers 10 bright LEDs that deliver strong visibility while keeping power draw down to only 0.048 amps at 12.8 volts. It’s a simple, slim solution that keeps your trailer lighting compliant and easy to spot on the road or at the ramp.

Tight Spaces Made Simple: Thinline Low-Profile Design

When space is limited, this light’s compact build fits where bulkier lights can’t. At just 3-15/16" long, 1-1/4" tall, and only 7/8" thick, it mounts neatly on your trailer fender for a clean look. The Thinline Series design keeps it low-profile without sacrificing brightness, giving you reliable clearance lighting even in tight spots.

No More Water Worries: Fully Submersible, Sonically Sealed Construction

Built for tough environments, the housing and lens are sonically sealed into a single waterproof unit. That means this LED light stays protected from water intrusion and can handle being submerged without damage to the diodes or circuit board—perfect for trailers that see frequent rain, washdowns, or boat launches.

Built to Last: Long-Life LEDs with Durable Polycarbonate Lens

You won’t be swapping bulbs anymore. The 10 integrated LEDs last up to 50 times longer than incandescent lights and don’t rely on fragile filaments. The polycarbonate housing and lens add durability against road debris and vibration, so you get dependable performance season after season.

Simple Power Connection: Industry Standard Plug Design

Installation is straightforward thanks to the standard connection setup. It accepts either a 1-prong or 2-prong plug and mounts to the trailer surface with a compatible bracket (A65B, sold separately). Hook it up to your 12V DC system and you’re ready for bright, efficient marker lighting that meets DOT P2 requirements.

Video Transcript for Feature Breakdown: Thinline LED Trailer Fender Light

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Optronics Fender Clearance LED Submersible Trailer Light, part number MCL65CARB. This trailer clearance light lights up red in the rear and amber in the front. It's going to help you remain DOT compliant for trailers over 80" wide. You want to be sure and pick up 2, 1 for either side. You can simply mount it to the top or side of your fender to help you highlight your trailer's widest point. It has a sonically sealed waterproof housing and is completely submersible, and because the lights are LEDs, it's going to be more efficient and last a long time. It's a very easy installation, if you don't have a base or a wiring harness, we have one here at etrailer.com, you can pick it up with part number A65PB.

When putting your light on, you want to be sure and identify which is the rear and which is the front, so there's a little sticker on the back for the red, which we want to have pointing toward the rear and we just simply line up the plugs, and push it in place. Listen for the snap on the front and rear, and then we've got it. Let's try it out. Looks great. If anything we're to ever happen to the LEDs, they feature a lifetime warranty. That's going to complete our look at the Optronics Fender Clearance LED Light, part number MCL65CARB..

These are far better than the factory ones that only project light outward, these also shine forward and back. I can now actually see where my fenders are in the dark which is priceless for me in the country side where there are no streetlights. They seem expensive, but are worth every last penny.

After changing all the red and amber marker lights on my trailer to optronics clear lenses (from etrailer) I had been waiting on a clear lenses (amber/red) fender light. You got it and I did it. Thanks you guys have been my go to outfit and I am on my second trailer.

I got tired of replacing burned out bulbs way to often. I decided to replace all my lights with LEDs and be done with it. The install of the thin line marker lights couldn't be easier, one wire hook up and grounded by the mounting screw. You will need the base which is sold separately. As for the brightness, I would estimate three times the light output of the replace incandescent bulbs when they worked. Plus you get a free light mural on the side of your trailer at night. How can you beat that? Etrailer.com was amazing as always.

It took me a while to find a clear lens fender marker light. It shouldn't be a big deal but I just thought the amber/red lens lights look stupid. I have been very happy with these products. They deliver a fairly bright light. I had hoped once illuminated they would be more defined red/amber but what can you do. It is still more than adequate for safety purposes. As other reviewers have stated, be careful with your mount screws. If they protrude too much, this light doesn't want to snap into place. One of my fenders went just fine. The other took a little persuasion. I would buy them again if they fail.
