This 1" round amber LED light packs solid brightness in a small package. You don’t have to worry about moisture ruining your lights anymore. The housing and lens are sonically sealed into a single waterproof unit that keeps water out, even when submerged. A PC-rated beam pattern means this light doesn’t just shine forward—it spreads light 90 degrees to each side for a full 180° of visibility. When properly positioned, it works as both a clearance and a side marker light, making your trailer easier to see from the front, side, or rear. Installing this light is fast and clean. It mounts into a 3/4" hole using the included gasket for a tight fit that sits nearly flush. The locking ring secures it from behind to help prevent theft or accidental pull-out on rough roads. The 2-wire pigtail with 0.18" male bullets makes wiring straightforward—just connect power and ground and it’s ready to go.

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Optronics LED clearance and side marker Light. This is a small round trailer light that functions as both as a clearance light and a side marker light when properly mounted. It's going to feature a sonically sealed, waterproof housing and lens unit that is submersible. It's an LED light, so LEDs are going to make great replacements for incandescent lights, they last longer, they burn brighter, they're more efficient. You don't have to worry about replacing bulbs and you don't have to worry about brittle filaments. This light is going to contain an amber lens, that's going to be a polycarbonate lens and housing when it comes to the construction.
It is designed for a recessed mount installation. If we take a measurement of this area right here, that'll tell us the size of the hole we need at the mounting location. It looks like that's going to measure right around 3/4", so a 3/4" diameter hole is needed at the mounting location. It's going to come with an O ring, or a rubber washer there, to provide some cushion at the installation surface and on the opposite side of the installation surface, you would install the locking ring; this is included. That's going to help deter theft of the light. The ring simply secures the light inside of the mounting hole on the trailer. We're looking at a 2-wire design.
You going to have your black and white wires. The white wire is for ground, black wire is for power. They're going to have the 0.18 male bullets on the ends and its got the protective sleeve over the wiring. Now the male bullets, those can be cut off for hard wire applications. This light is Department of Transportation compliant.
It's a PC rated light. A few dimensions to go over with you real quick, starting with the overall diameter: That's going to give us a diameter of about 1" and then the overall depth, that's going to measure about 7/8" deep. We're going to go ahead and hook it up to power that way you can see what it looks like with some power running to it. We'll also be able to turn off our overhead lights, so you can see it in a low light setting. Now this light only contains one dired, so it's a single LED, but as you can see it's a nice bright light. The power draw at 12.8 volts is 0.082 amps and Optronics is going to put a lifetime warranty on the LED. That's going to do it for today's look at the Optronics LED clearance and side marker light..

I wish they didnt use the cheapest off color mounting nut and lock washer. Would be really smart to just use the right hardware so these self grounding posts dont always rust away. The whole reason im buying one in the first place.
The hardware was all mismatched. It should have been stainless steel hardware to prevent a bad ground over time. The bolt was a metric grade 5, and the nut was grade 8, the screws that hold the light to the mounting bracket are stainless.

I replaced the original amber bulb side marker lights with these etrailer LED multifunctional lights on my RV and they work great. The original lights didn't blink when marking turns and I wanted drivers to have a better indication when I wanted to change lanes. I had to do some minor rewiring, but I'm pleased with the outcome.

Had trouble tracking these specific lights down online. I have bought a few things from etrailer before and they always deliver exactly as advertised. These are a direct replacement for the lights that I had which seemed impossible to find!
The light works excellent. Unfortunately after I took the old one off I realized that the original was never wired up correctly from the factory lol. New light is much brighter so I might go ahead and replace the other two. Received very quickly.
These Optronic LED lites were exactly what I was looking for my boat trailer. Easy install and very bright. Good product and quick shipping. I highly recommend this company.
This product probably has enough depth to enable it to be mounted in vehicle grills. However, and this is a big however, these products are not packaged with the threaded fasteners necessary to actually mount them. You have to take the LED light to the hardware store and buy a threaded nut of the correct diameter and thread pitch in order to use them.

The Optronics Clearance Lights are functioning as intended and designed after a year of service on a Sheriffs Office patrol vehicle. Other brands of LED clearance lights have failed in this application, but the Optronics products are robust. When you order, be sure to ask for the keepers - necessary for installation. I change my rating to FIVE STARS.
