If you wrench on a lifted Jeep, Bronco, UTV, or other high-clearance rig, conventional stands may not reach. The Tallboy supports up to 6 tons across seven positions from 10-13/16" to 28-3/4", then breaks down into a compact travel bag.
When your raised load sits higher than a conventional stand can reach, the Tallboy gives you seven support positions from 10-13/16" to 28-3/4". Its modular extension tubes let you configure the stand around the support point, giving you one setup that can work across substantially different heights.
The Tallboy jack stand complements Power Mountain's Tallboy bottle jacks by taking over the support job after the load is raised. Once the vehicle is properly supported on the stand, you can reposition your lifting jack for the next part of the job instead of leaving it tied up under one support point. The stand supports loads up to 6 tons.
Modular equipment is easier to carry when everything stays together. Foam trays separate and organize the stand components to reduce rattling during road travel, while the 9" x 9" x 7" zippered storage bag keeps the complete kit contained between jobs.

Hi, everyone, Steven here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the Power Mountain Tallboy Off-Road Jack Stand. Folks, if you've got that lifted Jeep SUV or truck, one problem you can run into is, when you're doing maintenance, a standard jack stand might not always reach high enough to properly and safely support that vehicle. That's where the tallboy comes into play. You've got an extension here with all three extensions installed, including the base. This gives you a total height from the ground up here to 28 3/4 inches.
So that should be more than enough additional reach for those taller vehicles, those lifted situations. As far as making it shorter, I can simply take it off in pieces. Nothing screws together. It literally just sits on top of one another. So what's nice about it, I have the base, now I can just start stacking as needed.
Maybe I don't need the full height. Maybe this will get me where I need to be. I can just stack that and then I can use the stand safely as needed. So again, I can remove everything. I have a minimum support height of about 10 3/16 inches.
And most likely if you have a lifted vehicle, you're not gonna need something that small, but you have a nice, big, round, solid base. You can see how thick that is there, about a half inch almost. And everything here again has been designed to work with and hold safely up to 12,000 pounds capacity. And they even give you a nice bag here to carry everything in. And what I like about this bag is I do have precut foams here to make everything really nice and easy.
You're going to start with your base. Your base is going to go flat in the bag. Then you're going to take the one with the round hole. You're gonna stick that on there. Next you're gonna have one of these center ones here with the center hole cut out, that's gonna go right into the bag on top of the base. And then finally you're gonna have this one that has the actual holder up on top and the short holder. So I can put those in there. And now I've got everything in here. It's not rattling around. It's all protected. It's not getting scratched up. And now I have this heavy duty canvas style bag here with handles to put simply in a toolbox, maybe a compartment, something of that nature, back of the vehicle. So again, folks, this is a heavy duty steel jack stand and this is only be used as a support stand. Nothing on here is going to help lift anything up. It's not a jack at all. So make sure you're using the appropriate jack to raise your vehicle first and then position the tallboy underneath it as a support mechanism only. That's gonna wrap up our look together folks. I'm Steven. Thanks for watching.
