Video Transcript for In-Depth Review of the Bulldog Square Swivel Jack w/ Round Pipe Mount

Today, we're going to be taking a look at part number BD190705. This is the Bulldog Square Swivel Jack with a round pipe mount. This has superior side load capacity when compared with round jacks. The outer and the inner tubes are going to overlap for additional strength when the jack is fully extended. Nice square design is going to provide additional support when it comes to side loading. It's also got a compact design, which is going to make this perfect for tight applications.

The tubular swivel design is going to let you swing the jack up for travel or down for use. It's going to include the pull pin that's going to hold the jack in either position. It's got a nice little chain on there so that way, you don't ever have to worry about misplacing the pin and potentially losing it. It's also going to feature a durable, long-lasting construction, weather-resistant coating here on the outer tube, and then a zinc-plated finish on the inner tube. This has a screw nut stop that's going to prevent damage to the screw and or the nut when the jack is fully extended. Top wind handle has smooth, ergonomic design for easy cranking.

It's going to include a bushing here in the top cap as well as an eagle claw grip. That way, you get a nice, secure grip on the handle when you're raising or lowering the jack. If we take a measurement of the handle radius, measuring from the center of the handle to the center of where it mounts, that's going to give us a radius of about 9 inches. It does include the round weld-on tubular mount. That's going to have an outer diameter of 3 inches, inner diameter of 2 1/2 inches.

That portion here is going to be welded on to the frame of your trailer. Once you have that welded on, your jack is going to sit inside of that pipe mount, which, when the pin is disconnected, is going to allow the jack to swivel inside there, so that way you can move it up during travel and down for use. Then all you have to do is line up the pin holes and place back in the pin, and it's going to be secured in either position. This is ASABE complaint. It's got the welded-on footplate, so that's included as well. That's going to give us an overall length of 8 inches, overall width of 6 inches.

Now if we take a look at the bracket height, I need to go ahead and lower this all the way down to the fully retracted position. See, it has a nice, smooth design. So we're going to take a measurement from the ground to the center of the pipe mount, again, fully retracted. That's going to give us a measurement of 11 and 3/8 of an inch. Now, with it fully extended, that measurement came to 21 and 3/8 of an inch, which is going to give this jack a lift or travel of 10 inches. The clearance that we have from that mounting bracket or that pipe mount to the top of the jack, that's going to give us a measurement of about 4 and 1/4 of an inch. That's not including the handle. That's just from the center of the pipe mount to this portion right here. The outer tube here, again, square design-that's going to be 2 1/2 inches by 2 1/2 inches. That inner tube is going to give us a measurement of 2 and 1/4 by 2 and 1/4. This jack is going to offer a lift capacity of 5,000 pounds, and a static capacity of 8,000 pounds. When the handle's not in use, it can be rotated over for a nice stowed position. That's going to do it for our review of part number BD190705.
