Hi everyone, Stephen here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the TruRyde Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly for 7,000 pound axles. Now, folks, this features a 12 inch diameter hub and drum assembly with an eight on six-and-a-half inch lug pattern. Now I do wanna point out this particular unit fits a number 42 spindle, but it uses half inch studs. So if you have nine-sixteenth inch studs, this won't work for you and you need part number TRU48AV providing everything else matches up other than those studs. So, again, today we're looking at the half inch stud option.
So folks, whenever you need a replacement, this is probably a great option for you. Check the bearing numbers inner and outer, the races, the seal, make sure everything matches up with what you currently have. And once it does, including that lug pattern and that stud size, then you're good to go. So again, you do get all the lug nuts here. You do get the grease cap and this is gonna have, or the dust cap, whatever you wanna call it.
And this does have the rubber plug center in it. So if you have E-Z Lube spindles, you can take that rubber plug out and do your maintenance as needed. As you can see, it's heavy duty. It does have a very nice corrosion-resistant finish over the whole assembly. And of course you have the grease seal and the inner bearing there in the back.
And once again, everything comes pre-greased ready to go out of the box. So I like that option because now let's just say you have some for regular maintenance, one, it's ready to go. That's gonna speed up time. But me personally, I like to carry an extra hub assembly, maybe some extra bearings at minimum with me in my toolbox, especially on longer trips, just for the what if factor. That's just me, I'm a little overprotective I think.
But sometimes some trailer parts can be harder to find when you're on the road, depending on where you're at in your location. So that's just one recommendation for me personally. But again, if you're just doing regular maintenance and you need an upgrade or a replacement, this is a great option. It's very comparable to Dexter, etrailer brands, et cetera. So if you have any questions about this or any of the products, reach out to us. We're more than happy to assist you. I'm Stephen, thanks so much for your time. Thanks for watching and as always, stay safe while you're towing.

Came missing two lug nuts. Not a big deal, but annoying to that I have to go buy a couple more. They seem to have slipped out the bottom of a hole in the box. Seems like a quality product other than that.
FAST delivery, and great quality parts!
Easy install
Well made product and very easy to install. Would definitely recommend them. Everything I needed was included.
They say they are pre greased but the amount of grease in them is very minimal. The outer bearings had no grease between the race and the rollers.
Perfect fit. I was skeptical about the off brand name but it is a quality piece and made in the USA. Only downside was the hub had shifted in the box during shipping and it bent the grease cap beyond repair. I reused my old cap, that's the reason for four stars.
Fast delivery, and not to expensive.
Easy. Clean. Fully assembled.
Very easy to work with and fast shipmen t.
A step below the Dexter option. Imo.
I am quite disappointed. One of the hub assemblies is missing 4 lug nuts and 2 have damaged center caps.
