Today, we're going to take a look at this etrailer Single Axle Steel Trailer Fender for eight inch wheels, for a quantity of one fender.Now, this rounded fender will cover one tire on your single axle trailer. This does act as a splash guard, keeps any road debris from hitting other vehicles and it'll help protect your trailer's cargo. Now, I wanted to zoom in and just show you the outer edge on this. Right here, you can see has a nice one-inch curve radius to it.
Gives a clean finished look and, on the inner edge, if you notice, it does have a 90 degree lip on it. And the reason they do that is it allows it to mount flush with your enclosed trailer.Now, this is a nice sturdy 16 gauge cold rolled steel construction. Nice raw finish. Now, this can be primed and then painted to provide even more resistance to corrosion and to match your trailer's paint finish.Now, this is a weld on or bolt on installation. It's not pre drilled.
The mounting brackets for a bolt on installation are sold separately. This part is made in the USA. A few specs on this. It is for one fender and the application is for single axle trailers with eight inch diameter wheels. The weight on this is only about three pounds.And the last thing we'll do is just zoom in and give you some measurements.
So, we're going to do the length from here to here. If we take our tape measure, it's going to be right at 19 and a half inches long. Overall height on this, it's going to be right at five and a quarter inches tall. they're not as wide as was hopping, but I made them fit there well made really like them im happy also buy two trailer uprights for bunks think they're going to work out nice will buy more as need two more good place buy parts very happy
They worked out great. However the trailer was overloaded and the fenders came down onto the tires ,so the guy who owned the trailer cut the brackets off instead of just unbolting them.
I have to go pickup the trailer and remake the mounting brackets to make them able to just bolt on.
Excellent fender, well made, sturdy and a perfect match for my boat trailer. A good deal.
