The spring-loaded handle is going to automatically lock onto the 2 5/16 inch hitch ball, making hookup a breeze. When you're ready to disconnect, the hidden latching mechanism is gonna hold the handle open so you're not gonna have to wrestle with it when unhooking.
So I don't have the strength to actually show you the self-latching mechanism. I have it in the position right now, to where you could just drop this onto your 2 5/16 inch ball and it would just automatically self-latch. And then when you're ready to uncouple, when you're ready to disconnect, you'll just move that handle over like that. It'll stay in that position and then you'll be able to uncouple off of that ball. So this is going to be very easy to couple and uncouple.

It's a great starting point for my extreme goosenecks I weld the reinforcement ring top and bottom and reinforce the latch mechanism which makes them just about indestructible . This is the six one that I've installed they get horribly mistreated and are all working fine

The new topwind coupler didnt not come with grease in the top bearing. And I installed a rubber washer to help keep the water out of the new one. How does this not get mentioned that it must be disassembled and greased before instalation
