Expert Reply:
The Titan Zinc-Plated Brake Actuator, part # T4750700 you referenced does not have a solenoid included. There are three types of systems you can choose from. Either a system like part # T4750700 that has no solenoid, a coupler with manual lockout, or brake couplers with an electric solenoid lockout.
If you are wanting a brake coupler with an electric lockout I recommend the Titan Zinc-Plated Brake Actuator w/ Drop Electric Lockout, part # T4750720. This has the same features as the coupler you referenced, but also has the electric solenoid lockout included. This makes backing your trailer much easier. Electric reverse lockout with solenoid is automatically activated when the tow vehicle is shifted into reverse. To use this feature, you must have a 5-pole flat, 6-way round or 7-pole wiring harness.
The couplers with manual lockout we offer have a much lower weight capacity. The coupler with the highest weight capacity we offer is the Demco # DM8760011. This coupler has a weight capacity of 8000 lbs.
