If your old brakes are dragging or fading, these 12" x 2" electric assemblies bring stopping power back where it belongs. Each driver’s-side and passenger’s-side brake uses automotive-grade friction material that’s fully bonded to the shoes for long life and strong braking torque. The bonded—not riveted—pads resist cracking and crumbling, keeping your braking smooth and predictable every time you hit the controller.
Rust and grime can ruin braking performance fast. The Dacromet coating on these backing plates delivers superior corrosion resistance, making them a solid choice for use in wet or coastal conditions. Adjuster plugs cover access holes to keep dirt and debris out of the assemblies, protecting the shoes and hardware so the brakes stay clean and responsive longer.
These assemblies are tested and certified by QAI and CSA, ensuring dependable performance under real-world braking conditions. Designed for 5-bolt mounting flanges and compatible with most standard hub-and-drum setups, they fit 14-1/2", 15", 16", and 16-1/2" wheels on 5,200-lb, 6,000-lb, and 7,000-lb axles. The friction material is SAE-N certified for environmental compliance while providing the stopping strength you need to tow safely.
Keeping brakes dialed in is easy with fine-tooth adjustment gears that allow precise manual tuning. After installation, just use a brake adjustment screw tool to set proper shoe drag—tighten until the drum resists turning by hand, then back off about ten clicks. With occasional checks, these brakes maintain peak performance mile after mile without guesswork or complicated service steps.

After a year of service these brakes are still doing what they were made to do. Glad to have gotten them when I did.

These brake assemblies are working perfectly. After one year there is no rust or corrosion. Brake shoe wear is nominal. They require adjustment every 200 miles or so two round trips to the lake in order to maintain smooth operation.
