If your old drum brakes are fading or dragging, these Kodiak 13" disc brakes are a major upgrade. The 1-piece hub-and-rotor assembly delivers smooth, controlled braking and dramatically shorter stopping distances. With a large 2-1/2" stainless steel piston and ceramic pads, the calipers respond fast and grip evenly for safer, more confident stops.
Saltwater and moisture can destroy ordinary brake parts fast. This kit is built to handle it with a Dacromet-plated hub-and-rotor and bracket that withstands 300 to 400 hours of salt spray, plus stainless steel calipers that are rustproof. It’s ideal for trailers exposed to marine or coastal environments where corrosion resistance is key.
Heat buildup leads to brake fade and uneven wear, especially on heavy descents. These vented rotors pull air through the core to shed heat quickly, keeping braking power steady even with frequent stops. The design also helps prevent premature pad wear for longer service life.
Disc brakes have fewer moving parts than drums, so there’s less to adjust or replace over time. The calipers are mounted outside the assembly, making brake pad changes quick and straightforward. Each kit includes everything needed for one axle—two hub-rotor assemblies with bearings, races, grease seals, E-Z Lube caps, wheel bolts, and stainless steel lug nuts—so installation is direct and complete right out of the box.
With an axle capacity of 8,000 lbs and an 8 on 6-1/2" bolt pattern for #42 spindles, these brakes are built for strength and reliability under load. The ductile iron brackets and automotive-grade construction add durability you can count on season after season.
