Swapping out old drum brakes for these 13" DeeMaxx disc brakes gives you shorter stopping distances and smoother, more consistent braking. The one-piece hub-and-rotor assemblies come preloaded with inner (25580) and outer (02475) bearings, races, oil seals, oil caps, wheel bolts, and lug nuts. Ceramic brake pads and stainless steel pistons deliver fast, responsive braking you can feel every time you tow.

Saltwater, road salt, or winter slush can destroy ordinary brakes in no time. The Maxx coat finish on the hub-rotors and brackets has a salt spray rating over 1,000 hours – far beyond zinc or Dacromet coatings. Combine that with stainless steel calipers and mounting hardware, and you get long-term corrosion resistance that stands up to harsh conditions. Drainage holes in the hat section let water escape easily to prevent internal rust.

Under heavy braking or long downhill runs, heat buildup can cause fade or early wear. DeeMaxx tackles that with a vented rotor design that dissipates heat faster than standard rotors. Extra drainage holes add airflow and keep moisture from collecting inside the rotor. The result is cooler-running brakes that maintain consistent performance and extend pad life.

Installing these brakes is straightforward thanks to the integrated design and clear setup guidance. Laser-etched instructions on each caliper explain how to bleed the system right on the part—no manual needed. The kit includes everything required to outfit one axle: two Maxx coat hub-rotor assemblies, stainless steel calipers, brackets, bearings, races, seals, caps, wheel bolts, and lug nuts. All you’ll need separately is a hydraulic actuator rated at 1,500 psi or above and brake lines to complete the system.

These disc brakes are rated for 8,000-lb axles with #42 spindles and use an 8 on 6-1/2" bolt pattern with 5/8" wheel bolts. High-quality automotive-grade construction ensures reliable braking season after season, backed by a 7-year warranty for lasting confidence on every trip.

Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the DeeMaxx 13 inch Threaded Hub and Rotor Assembly Kit with the eight on six and a half inch bolt pattern, the five eights inch diameter wheel studs for 8,000 pound axle. And this has the Max coating and the stainless steel coating on the calipers. Now this kit here will let you upgrade your trailer from drum to disc brakes for superior performance. The threaded hubs are mostly used on oil bath axles.
Now this kit will include everything laid out here on the table, and we're gonna go through all the parts. We'll start with the hub and rotors. These are two Max coated cast iron threaded hub and rotor assemblies. They do have the pre-installed bearing races in them. Comes with the two inner bearings, the two outer bearings, the two oil seals, the two threaded oil caps that'll thread right into the end of the hub right there.
And then also, you notice the lug nuts are included, and that would be 16 and the five eights inch by 18 size lug nuts. Now we mentioned the calipers. These brake calipers are stainless steel. They do include the brake pads and the installation bolts, and then the caliper mounting brackets, or the Max coated mounting brackets. Now this kit will require a hydraulic brake actuator that's rated at 1500 PSI or above, and brake lines to activate your brakes.
Now those items, we do sell separately. The hub and rotors, they are one piece hub and rotor assemblies. They reduce the chance of uneven rotor wear. They are a vented design. You see, if I twist it, you can see the vents all the way around the outside here.
This vented design will dissipate heat faster to prevent premature brake pad wear. Also on the end, if you look at the hat section of the hub and rotor assembly, you'll notice all the holes here. These are drainage holes. This allows water to drain easily to further minimize any corrosion on the hub and rotor. Now this kit is excellent for occasional use in salt water, or areas with a lot of snow, slush, and road salt. We mentioned the Max coat finish that's used on the hub and rotors and on the caliper brackets. We mentioned the calipers themselves are stainless steel, which are rustproof. Now the Max coating on the hub and rotors in the brackets, they have a salt spray rating them over a thousand hours. This will offer dramatically shorter stopping distances and smooth control braking. Now I did want to show you the brake pads. They are in the calipers. Just wanna flip this up. You can see there, they are installed. They are ceramic brake pads to increase stopping power. The piston in this caliper, which is located right in here on the inside, it is a stainless steel piston. The diameter on is two and a quarter inches. And it'll provide fast, responsive braking. Now this kit requires minimal maintenance, saving you time and money. One of the other neat features on this, if you notice on the outside of the caliper, they actually laser etch instructions on it to take the guesswork out of installing your brakes and bleeding the brakes. Now this will fit the Dexter 8,000 pound axles with the number 42 spindle. The wheel size used on this will be 16 inches and larger. The bolt pattern we mentioned is eight on six and a half inches. Wheel studs of five eights of an inch. The rotor diameter is 13 inches. And last thing I just wanna show you, the brake calipers that'll mount to your axle to hold all these, they use a four bolt design. So it's designed to fit on a four bolt brake flange configuration on your axle. But that's gonna do it for a look at the DeeMaxx 13 inch Threaded Hub and Rotor Assembly Kit with the eight on six and a half inch bolt pattern, five eights inch studs for 8,000 pound axles.
