Triple-axle trailers put a lot of demand on your brakes, especially when you're towing heavy loads at highway speeds. This DeeMaxx kit replaces drum brakes with hydraulic disc brakes for more consistent stopping power during long tows.
Triple-axle trailers carry serious weight, and drum brakes can struggle with heat and consistency. This kit replaces them with DeeMaxx 10-3/16" integral hub-and-rotor assemblies designed for 3,500 lb axles. Vented rotors with drainage holes shed heat and moisture, while ceramic pads and stainless steel pistons provide smooth, controlled braking even at highway speeds.
If you launch in fresh water or tow through road salt, corrosion becomes a real concern. The Maxx coating on the hub-rotor, caliper, and bracket offers over 1,000 hours of salt spray resistance. Combined with built-in rotor drainage, this helps extend brake life and reduce rust compared to standard finishes.
The included electric-over-hydraulic actuator converts your in-cab brake controller signal into hydraulic pressure up to 1,600 psi. It reaches 1,000 psi in just 3/16 of a second for quick response. The extruded aluminum housing helps manage heat, while upgraded seals and a sealed reservoir reduce contamination risk. A rotating brake line fitting allows flexible mounting on the frame or inside a compartment.
The included brake line kit is configured specifically for triple-axle trailers. DOT- and SAE-compliant rubber hoses are easier to route than rigid steel lines and work well with torsion axles and foldaway tongues. Brass tee and cross fittings, loom clamps, and mounting hardware help you secure and protect the system along the trailer frame.
Disc brakes eliminate many of the springs and internal parts found in drum systems. The 1-piece hub-and-rotor design reduces the chance of uneven wear from trapped moisture, and laser-etched bleeding instructions on the calipers simplify future service. Fewer moving parts mean less adjustment and more consistent braking over time.

Hi everyone, Steven here with etrailer. Let's take a look at the DeeMaxx disc brake kit with included actuator for triple axle trailers. Now folks, these are gonna feature 10 inch hub and rotor assemblies with a five on four and a half inch bolt pattern rated at 3,500 pound capacity. Now, I do wanna throw an image of what all you're gonna get. Obviously you're gonna get more than what's on the table today, but for space, I want to throw up an image. You're gonna get three sets, so enough to do three different axles, obviously, of the hubs, rotor assembly rather, the caliper, the caliper brackets, disc brakes, and the everything as far as the hoses, the actuator, all your individual pieces, the bearings, the races, everything you need, all in one kit.
And I'll throw up on the screen also the bearing numbers. So this hub and rotor kit here, as you can see, everything is slotted, so that's gonna increase the cooling time it takes, which is gonna improve control, braking, and all those kind of things. And then of course you have your races already pre pressed in from the factory, so that's one less thing you have to worry about. And then of course you get all your brake lines. These are all flexible hoses that makes install a breeze as far as running things to and from wherever you need to on the trailer.
The actuator here, this is your hydraulic actuator, so the fluid obviously goes in here, and then you wire everything up accordingly. So make sure you're following instructions. That should be a pretty simple install as well. You get a bag of hardware here that's gonna have your self-tapping bolts for all your clamps that are gonna help hold your brake lines in place. Of course, you have some large cable ties here to help again, run everything and keep everything nice and neat and clean on the install.
You got your grease cap here, it does have the rubber plug. That way if you have those easy loop spindles, you can simply pop that plug out and you can access that greaser to quickly and easily do your maintenance as far as greasing your bearings and whatnot. Once again, folks, the rotor is 10 and 3/16th inches of diameter. The bolt pattern is a five on four and a half inch lug pattern. Make sure you're double checking your lug pattern to be sure you're getting the right ones to fit your spindles on your axle.
And as always, if you need help with assistance, if any questions answered, reach out to us here at etrailer. You can also reach out to us if you need assistance as far as installation. If you're not local to us here in Missouri, we can help find someone in your area based on your zip code and get you in touch with someone that we're affiliated with that can do that installation for you as well. That's gonna wrap up our time together. I'm Steven, thanks for watching.

The best upgrade that I could’ve made to my fifth wheel was to get rid of those drum brakes and converted over to electric over hydraulic

Glad to hear they are working better than your previous brakes, Jerry! Disc is definitely the way to go. ^___^ I will let Ashley know they are much better as well! What's the next trip you have planned to really test them out?
