If your old drums are due for replacement, this DeeMaxx 13" disc brake kit is a serious upgrade. The one-piece hub-and-rotor assemblies deliver shorter stopping distances and smooth, controlled braking for an 8,000-lb axle with a #42 spindle. Ceramic brake pads and a stainless steel piston give fast, responsive braking that feels steady and confident every time you tow.

Salt spray, slush, and boat launches can destroy ordinary brakes. These hub-rotors and brackets use DeeMaxx’s Maxx coating, rated for over 1,000 hours of salt spray exposure—far longer than zinc or Dacromet coatings. The stainless steel calipers are rustproof, and drainage holes in the hat section let water escape quickly. Together, they minimize corrosion and keep your brakes looking and working like new even in salty or snowy conditions.
Heavy towing generates heat that can lead to brake fade and premature pad wear. DeeMaxx’s vented rotors move air efficiently through the core while added drainage holes boost ventilation even more. This design disperses heat faster so the brakes run cooler and perform consistently under load.

Keeping these brakes in top shape is straightforward. With no springs or cables to fuss over, disc brakes require minimal maintenance compared to drum systems. The caliper sits on the outside of the assembly for easy pad changes, and laser-etched bleeding instructions on the back of each caliper save time during service. It’s a clean, well-thought-out setup that’s easy to live with season after season.

The kit includes two Maxx coat hub-rotor assemblies with inner (25580) and outer (02475) bearings, races, oil seals, oil caps, 5/8" wheel bolts, stainless steel lug nuts, stainless steel calipers, and Maxx coat mounting brackets—everything needed to upgrade one axle. Engineered with high-quality automotive-grade materials and backed by a 7-year warranty, these brakes are built to deliver reliable performance for the long haul.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the DeeMaxx 13 inch threaded hub and rotor assembly kit with the 8 on 6 1/2 inch bolt pattern and the 5/8 inch studs for 8,000 pound axles, has a Maxx coating and a stainless steel coating on the calipers. This kit here will let you upgrade your trailer from drum to disc brakes for superior performance. Will include everything I have laid out here on the table and we're gonna go through all the parts here. We'll start with the hub and rotor assemblies. These are two of the Maxx-coated cast iron threaded hub and rotor assemblies with the pre-installed bearing races.
Comes with the two inner bearings, the two outer bearings, the two oil seals, the two threaded oil caps, 16 of the 5/8 inch by 18 size lug nuts. And we mentioned the calipers, they're two stainless steel calipers with brake pads and stainless steel bolts. And then right here we have two of the Maxx-coated caliper mounting brackets. Now this kit will also require a hydraulic brake actuator that's rated at 1500 PSI or above and brake lines to activate your brakes. Those items we do sell separately on our website.
This is excellent for occasional use in salt water or areas with a lot of snow, slush and road salt. The corrosion-resistant Maxx coat finish that's on the hub and rotors and the caliper brackets, they have a salt spray rating of over 1000 hours. We mentioned the calipers themselves are stainless steel, they are rustproof. On the hub and rotors, if you notice, they have these holes all the way around the circumference. These are drainage holes that are in the hat section that allows any water to drain easily, further minimizing any corrosion.
Now this kit will offer dramatically shorter stopping distances and smooth controlled braking. I wanted to zoom in on one of the calipers 'cause I wanted to show you they do use ceramic brake pads to help increase the stopping power. And the piston that's on here is a 2 1/4 inch diameter piston, which is a stainless steel piston. Provides a nice fast responsive braking. Now this does require minimal maintenance, saving you time and money.
What is sort of unique, if you look on the outside, it might be hard to see with the bright light. If I tilt this, you might be able to see. What they do is they laser etch instructions on the outside of the caliper to take any guesswork out of installing these and bleeding the brakes. Now we mentioned the hub and rotors. They are a one-piece hub and rotor assembly. This reduces the chance of uneven rotor wear. They are a vented design. If you can see all the way around here, they do a vent and that vented design helps dissipate any heat faster to prevent premature brake pad wear. Now the fit on this, this is designed to fit the ALKO 8,000 pound axles with number 42 spindle. The wheel size this will take is 16 inches and larger. Bolt pattern, we mentioned is 8 on 6 1/2 inches, wheel bolt diameter's 5/8 of an inch. So you can see it comes with the included 5/8 inch size lug nuts for installing your wheel and tire assembly. And if you notice on the caliper brackets, they do have four holes in them, so they are designed to fit a four-bolt brake flange configuration on your axle. Now we mentioned these are threaded, so mainly when you use threaded hub and rotors, they're usually far oil bath assemblies and the oil bath means with the threads on them, your cap will actually thread into place. And then they also give you, you can see you just tighten 'em in like that. And they also give you oil seals. But that should do it for a look at the DeeMaxx 13 inch threaded hub and rotor assembly kit with the 8 on 6 1/2 inch bolt pattern, 5/8 inch studs for 8,000 pound axles.
