Most hard covers make you choose between durability and convenience, but this one gives you both. The TruXedo Sentry CT combines 3/4" thick aluminum slats with a premium, 5-layer polyester and vinyl fabric top for a hard-shell strength that still rolls up in seconds. The slats are impact resistant and hold up to 400 lbs of evenly distributed weight, so you can still load gear on top. When you need full bed access, just pull either tailgate release cable and roll it forward. The attached safety straps secure it at the cab without blocking your rear window.

Keeping gear dry and protected is easy with this cover’s industrial-strength, leather-grain fabric. It’s built from woven polyester backed with vinyl and tested to handle temperatures from -40°F to 120°F. Rubber weather seals along the edges keep out rain, snow, and dust. The matte black finish resists UV damage and fading, so it stays looking clean in every season without needing much upkeep.

Some covers sit high and spoil the truck’s lines. The Sentry CT mounts to angled side rails that sit just 1/2" above the bed, giving it a streamlined look. Those 15-degree rails also help cut wind drag and noise, which can improve fuel economy on longer drives. The all-black slats and fabric blend together for a clean, uniform look even when rolled up.

For peace of mind, the Sentry CT locks down tight. Two slam latches at the tailgate automatically secure the cover when you press it closed, and mid-bed security latches lock simultaneously. Combined with a locked tailgate, the hard aluminum slats help keep thieves out. The dual release cables at the tailgate let you open it easily from either side when you’re ready to load up.

Installation doesn’t require drilling or special tools. The rails clamp inside the bed with bolt-on brackets that leave your stake pockets open for accessories. Built-in lips automatically square the rails as you tighten them, so the cover rolls evenly every time. And when you need to remove it completely, the quick-release guides let you lift it off in seconds.

The Sentry and Sentry CT by TruXedo are hard roll up style truck bed covers that feature an extra low profile. The Sentry comes with a leather grain vinyl fabric and the Sentry CT comes with woven matte black fabric. Both feature fabric that is pressure bonded to heavy duty aluminum slats, making Sentry the ultimate in durability and security. Each cover ships with a cover assembly, driver and passenger side rails, and all the hardware necessary to install it on your truck. The only tools necessary are a half inch wrench and scissors.Clean the bulkhead area with alcohol. Adhere the rubber seal to the bulk head, making sure to align the seal with the inside edge of the bulkhead. Trim the seal to sit flush with the bed caps.Position one side rail on the truck bed. Make sure the rail sits level on top of the truck bed.
Slide the rail towards the bulkhead so that the foam seal is compressed about half way. Install a clamp in the center of the rail, using a half inch wrench to tighten.Install the real clamp about 12 inches from the tailgate. To ensure a proper seal, put pressure on top of the rail when tightening. Install the front clamp about 12 inches from the bulkhead. Repeat on the opposite side.Place the cover assembly on the rails at the bulkhead.
Line the screw head on the underside of the cover assembly with the slot in the rail on each side.Slide the header guides towards the rail to secure the rolled cover to the rails. The header guide will click when it is securely fastened.Unroll the cover to the tailgate. Close the tailgate. Then push down on the end of the cover to latch both sides. Secure the hook and loop on both side rails before driving. To open the cover, drop the tailgate and pull down on a release cable.

After a year the cover is still looking great and working great. I wish I had purchased one of these when I purchased my truck, as it is nice to be able to securely store stuff in the bed of my truck.
