When you want to keep your tools or gear safe from both weather and theft, the RetraxONE MX does it with solid polycarbonate panels that resist dents and impacts. The 5/8" thick metal I-beams built into the cover every 4-3/4" give it the strength to hold up to 200 lbs of evenly distributed weight. UV-treated Lexan keeps its matte black finish looking new through heat, cold, and sun without cracking or fading. Paired with weather stripping and foam seals on all sides, it keeps out rain, snow, and dust so your cargo stays clean and dry.
Big cargo doesn’t mean you have to remove the cover. The RetraxONE MX glides open with sealed ball-bearing rollers that never need lubrication and won’t bind or stick. Just lift the pop-up handle and slide it back with one hand to open the cover completely or stop it anywhere along the rails to secure partial loads. The spiral track system inside the canister keeps the cover from rubbing against itself, so it retracts smoothly every time and stays protected from wear.
When rolled up, the cover stores neatly in a space-saving canister at the front of the bed. The canister’s angled bottom takes up less room, leaving space underneath to slide in long gear or small items. Two built-in drain tubes route water out through the bed, keeping the canister dry and mildew-free even after heavy rain.
The side rails sit just 1" above the bed for a clean, flush appearance that blends in nicely with the truck’s lines. The matte black finish is scratch-resistant, and the lid completely overlaps the tailgate to block water and debris. The flush-mounted locking handle sits flat, so nothing sticks out or catches when you load or unload cargo.
This cover arrives preinstalled inside the canister, ready to mount with clamp-on side rails—no drilling needed. The canister and rails bolt together with the provided hardware, and drain tubes connect easily to existing bed holes. Once installed, the RetraxONE MX stays tight, rolls smoothly, and gives you reliable protection every time you slide it open or shut.

Great Tonneau
Everything was on time and good quality. Easy to install, but you need to open the lock before installing the rail. If the lock is in the lock or down position the rail won’t go on. Other than that it was easy and it looks great on the truck!
A little challenging at first with the directions but with my neighbor helping we pulled through. 3-4 hours of slow methodical reading and working. Very nice product looks great and works as advertised.
The unit shipped to my location with over a months delay. This was too late for our last camping trip of2 2021, which I was counting on using it. I installed this year instead. Some of the tapped holes need to be re-tapped. Also, drain plugs were a little tricky in that the hose interfered with that latching mechanism, so they did not latch correctly at first. The roll-up into the box does not seem as smooth as the videos seem to show. Roll down to close is smooth.
this is a great product if your on the fence pull the string easy to install works good.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and durability. I like the ability to cover, lock and latch in partially closed position to help support large items. I'm sure I'm getting a little bit better gas mileage because of the drag reduction off the bed. The only drawback: the space that the canister takes up reduces your bed size. It hasn't impacted me yet as I have the larger bed size. If you have a bed extender, that will help. I definitely like the retractable better that the folding ones.

One year update: My RetraxONE MX still looks and performs good. For my application (fifth wheel protection) it was a good choice.
It is extremely hard to open and close even with grease on the rails and proper alignment.
