Many covers force you to remove them completely just to haul larger cargo. The BAKFlip MX4 solves that with a quad-fold aluminum design that opens in sections so you can access part or all of the bed in seconds. Prop rods secure the panels upright when you need the entire bed open, and built-in buckles keep it folded safely while you drive. You get full bed use without losing the protection of a hard cover.
Keeping gear safe shouldn’t mean adding locks or extra steps. Each panel on the MX4 latches automatically as it folds down, creating a secure bed once the tailgate is closed. The BAKFlip after 2 years is still functioning great. I fixed the curling cushion by applying some strong adhesive to the spots that had detached, taped it in place and let cure for a couple of days. That solved that issue. Would continue to recommend the BAKFlip to others.

The cover is still excellent and keeps our items dry and secure on those road trips. I stand by my initial review and still wish the weatherstripping would stick the the spray in liner better but its only been a minor annoyance that hasnt resulted in any water getting into the bed.
