Weather changes fast, but this cover is ready for anything. The double-coated, reinforced vinyl stays flexible down to -40°F and won’t fade or shrink under harsh sun. The Element weather seal behind the cab and reinforced flap at the tailgate block out rain, snow, and dirt so your gear stays clean and dry all year. Black powder-coated aluminum bows and rails resist rust and keep the cover tight and supported no matter the conditions.

When you need the whole bed, just roll the cover up. The soft vinyl top peels back from the Velcro side seals and stores neatly behind the cab with premium straps that keep it from rubbing the paint. It opens in seconds without removing anything, so hauling a load of plywood or camping gear is easy. And since the rails mount inside the bed, stake pockets and tie-downs stay open for racks or other accessories.

Keeping cargo safe is simple with the AutoLatch II system. When you close the cover, it automatically locks at both sides, securing the bed when your tailgate is locked. One pull of the release cord opens it instantly with one hand. It’s a smooth, sturdy setup that feels solid every time you use it and doesn’t interfere with normal tailgate operation.

Temperature swings can loosen or tighten a soft cover, but the XT-Dial makes it easy to keep this one snug. Just twist the dial by hand to fine-tune the tension—no tools needed. The cover stays tight across the bed for a clean look and quiet ride, even at highway speeds.
Sitting 1-1/2" above the bed, the Slantback design gives the truck a sleek, finished look while improving aerodynamics. The low, angled fit helps air flow smoothly over the tailgate—reducing drag and even improving gas mileage by up to 10 percent. It’s practical performance with a design that has set the standard since 1991.

Tonneau cover seems to be made well. Install wasn't hard, but directions we hard to understand. Once we figured out how to put on it was simple Just installed so will see how it holds up.
The roll up top is great. The convenience it offers is just what I was looking for. The installation instructions were pretty good. I would have liked better weather stripping to seal the tailgate.
This is my second Access Original Tonneau.
That said...I like them! Here's why...
I have a bedslide in my truck with my toolboxes and trailer gear etc... The Access original sits 1.5" above the bed rails, and with the Bedside/Cargoglide the extra clearance is crucial, as all the slide out units eat up 2-4" of height inside the bed. The access cover lets you retain as much storage as possible. Other covers that sit flush, reduce usable cubic footage in your bed.
Here's what I would change:
While the vinyl cover is quite handsome, it marks up, (as all vinyl does). Something with a little more plastic like surface would be nice- snow would slide off easier, and when I place a piece of lumber on top, I don't have to worry about scratching the surface.
Speaking of weight on top, the Access has 3 support bars. I think having 5 would be perfect. They are easy enough to make and add.
Installation tip:
My current Nissan Titan (Gen 2) with the utilitrack system is a PERFECT match to the system. The access side rails sit right on top of the utilitracks, so they cant slide down.
My old Nissan Titan (gen 1) had standard bed rails, and relied on the clamps to hold the rails in place. Now, it's marketed as a no drill system- and as with all no-drill systems- you are at risk of having the clamps slip off. I've had 4 tonneaus from various manufactures, and this has been the case with all of them. I ended up drilling through, and using SS self tapping screws (4 on each side) to affix the rails to the truck. Super solid and easy, just make sure you drill high enough to capture the metal of the truck bed rail. But, if you have a little more patience than I do, the stock clamps will work fine, with some adjusting as you go.
Roll-up cover installed easily. After 1 year outdoor exposure it still provides good weather protection for the bed. The cover material is taut, does not flap and the hook and loop material seals the sides well.
Great product. Relatively easy install.
After installation, the cover and its components appear to be a high quality product. It took me approximately 1 hour to install. The installation manual/process would benefit from having color pictures vice the black and white photos.
I've been very pleased with the Access Roll up tonneau. The most important feature for me, was that it sat between the rails. I have a Trac Rack mounted on the bed rails, and the Access cover sits perfectly between. The added height of the cover, sits level with the top of the Trac rails. I have a bedslide in the truck, and the extra 1.5" of height from the Access is crucial. My truck is a 2012 Nissan titan. My only complaint, is that the vinyl cover is susceptible to rub marks. I'm a carpenter, and often I place material on top of the cover (while I'm picking up a tool, or staging something...). The vinyl has a few rashes on it. It would also be nice if there were an extra support beam. I have a short bed variant, and there's only 3 supports. I think a 4th and 5th would help add a little tension to keep the cover from flapping at high speed. I had a factory trifold tonneau (solid surface) that was very nice. For the price, this Access is the best option. I've had $300 tonneau on older trucks, and they were OK. The extra $200 for this cover... I must say it's worth every cent. Locking mechanism is great. Hardware is excellent. This is probably the best product for the money. The next step up, is twice the price...
Great product. Third one I have had and they outlasted the vehicles. Easy to install and it looks good.
I bought an access cover for my tacoma back in 2009 and it has worked great for 16 years so when it was time to get a cover for my 2022 GMC Sierra 2500HD, I did not even look at other brands. This new Access cover was just as easy to install as I remember and it looks amazing.
Was as the video said and looks okay tbh it better than other tho.
The first access tonneau cover I purchased from eTrailer in 2008 and I installed it on my 2007 Ridgeline. The cover held up well and I just replaced it with the same model (cover) this year. It fits perfectly. Good and timely shipping from eTrailer.
Product arrived early. Instructions were clear and the top was way to install. Looks great on my Honda Ridgeline
Looks great 1 year later!
Fits right! Just what I was looking for
Excellent overall. The ordering was easy on line to navigate and pick the exact cover for my vehicle. The shipment was on time with easy access to monitor the status. And the installation was not a problem. Had a bit of trouble with the front end installation but got it figured out. I found UTube installation video much more useful than the hard copy instruction. The product fit just fine and looks great.
I have had Access roll up covers on several of my trucks over the years and they hold up very well with proper care. My only criticism is that the directions are not written very well and lead to some confusion. Luckily for me, I installed a few of them in the past, but this could cause some frustration for someone installing one for the first time.
I love it! So easy to install and very tight.
Item #834532004676 fits my 2003 Toyota Tundra Stepside nicely. You do have to drill holes for the side rail screws, and the installation is moderately difficult due to the curvature of the sides of the bed. There are some rather rough relief slots cut into the rails to allow the extrusion to bend and match the contour of the sides. The instructions are a little sketchy on how to line up the screw holes so that you're hitting metal correctly under the bedrail caps, so I took my caps off and did my drilling, then put the caps back on.
Truck bed cover is great even after a year. No signs of fading or anything. Keeps it shape and works like it should. When I first got it I said to myself, hope it will last me at lease five years under our blazing sun here in Hawaii. And it seems it will. It also cleans up well, when I wash it's top, dirt wipes right off. The best part is, the cover makes my truck look great. Big Mahalo.
"I actually installed this cover on my 1992 Chevrolet Silverado step-side yesterday and it turned out great! I actually installed it without taking out the plastic bed liner. I'm really happy with the fit and look of this Access cover." and "As you can see in the photos, I did a slight mod to the bed liner where the rails bolt up in order to keep the protection of the bed liner and the tonneau cover fit snug as you can see."
I can't wait!
This was the old truck and setup... see attached.
This is after 5 years of regular abuse lol. Its a setup that turned a lot of heads in the field. And the new one will do the same.
Talk soon!
The product seems solid but it was damaged during shipping. Working it out with eteailer to see how smooth it's resolved. Will report back
This is the second Access Original Soft Roll up tonneau cover I've owned and installed myself. Great quality and the installation on the new Rangers was straight forward.
I’m very pleased with the cover. The clips used to attach the rails of the cover to the truck are frustrating. On my truck the rails on the cover need to be about an inch wider. It was difficult to keep the clips in place when tightening them down. You need two people: one to tighten them and one to hold them in place. Of course my truck is 23 years old so I wouldn’t expect a redesign, I just wanted to give an honest opinion. And it is watertight which I’m very happy about.
