When your truck bed turns into a pile of loose tools and shifting gear, every job starts with digging around. This deep, extra-wide crossover box gives you space to organize your equipment and opens smoothly when your hands are full.
The foam-filled lid is designed to stay rigid so it opens smoothly and keeps the latch points lined up. That matters when the box is packed heavy and you are opening it from either side of the truck.
The sliding small-parts tray keeps frequently used items near the top, while the built-in tool trays and screwdriver holders keep the bottom of the box from turning into a pile of loose gear.

Hi, everyone. Steve here with etrailer. Let's take a look at this UWS extra-wide crossover toolbox for long bed trucks. So, folks, if you're looking for a great toolbox, it's got maximized storage, this is a great option. You're not going to have to sacrifice durability because the UWS is 73-inches long of a wide with the lid shut. When you open the lid, it's 72 inches.
And as far as front to back, I got about 28 1/2-inches deep, or 27 1/2 inches, again, with that lid open. So lid's adding about 1 inch all the way around. Now this is designed with that extra-wide or extra-deep profile. So it's going to give you more room for tools, power equipment, towing accessories, whether it's job site essentials, maybe those kind of things. This is a bigger than normal crossover box.
So whether again, you're a contractor, DIYer, or just like to say, organized, this is going to be a great option for you. And one of the best standout features, they use what's called a patented ridge core lid. So UWS puts a solid foam core inside of their lid, and that's going to increase the rigility. It means less flex when you're opening and closing the lid, improve durability for long lasting, and just the add confidence that your gear is going to stay protected. And as you can see, it's this nice, white aluminum finish, and that's not only going to give your truck a sleek, aggressive look, but it's also going to resist scratching, corrosion, those kind of things.
Now like most toolboxes, you got a seal. This one looks to be like a foam gasket. And then you have the two gas struts, one on each end. And then, of course, up here in the front where I just open that, you have the main latch here. And as you can see, it is lockable.
They do give you two keys, and they put them up here on the latch. So I just left them there. That's how they'll be shipped to you, either zip tied or cable tied here in the front. And then coming from the top down, you can kind of see more of the depth and just how large this toolbox actually is. And I do want to kind of come over here and show you a couple of things. So this sliding tray, it's aluminum. Now as you can hear, a little loud because it's aluminum on aluminum. I do wish they would have kind of put something there to dampen that a little bit. But other than that, it's lightweight. It goes the full length, back and forth. Of course, you have your hardware for installing it. So you got two J-bolts here and washers and nuts. And then, of course, you have some double-backed, peel-and-stick foam. This will go underneath the toolbox where it sits on the truck bed. That way you're not hurting the side rail of your truck bed. And then I don't know how you can see it, but there are holes in this side support where you can put screwdrivers, those kind of things, maybe hang hooks, S-hooks off of your ratchet straps, and those kind of things. And on the front here, they've got a protection bar over the crossbar that opens and closes the latches. So I like that feature as well. And if you notice on the lid, you have these black plugs. That's because that's where they put that rigid core foam inside. And then of course closing it, you can see that diamond tread pattern on the outside. So again, folks, security is one area where this toolbox shines. I showed you the keys. It does use stainless steel locking handles. That's going to give you that extra protection of your equipment while you're resisting corrosion and those kind of things. And again, the keys go to one side only. That would be the driver's side of the toolbox. And it's a very nice strut system, as far as opening and close it. I showed you the gas strut system, one on each side. And then when you bring it down low, it's easy to help also assist you with closing it as well. Now it is what I call a self-opening, meaning once I pull that latch, I can literally let go, it'll slowly open. I'm not able to show you that fully just because it's not bolted down just on a box. So it would potentially try to go too far. Now, a couple things you need to make sure you're remembering. Space in front of the lid, because that lid's going to open. So you don't always go necessarily to the very, very front of your truck. You may be able to, it just depends on the truck. So you're just going to have to loosely fit it when you're installing it and make sure you're being aware of those kind of things. As far as inside dimensions, 62-inches long at the base, because the top is wider, and about 13 1/4-inches tall at the base as well underneath this lid. Otherwise, it's 19 inches from top to bottom overall. Folks, again, this is extra wide, you can have more space. Installation's pretty simple. You have all the hardware included. So whether your truck is a mobile workshop or an adventure vehicle, having this nice space and having everything secured is going to make your life a lot better and more efficient. That's going to wrap up our time together. I'm Steven. Thanks for watching.
