Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look together at this RC Manufacturing Steel M Series underbody toolbox. Now this toolbox is gonna be a great option for you to consider if maybe you're an electrician, a plumber, a general contractor, and you're looking for a secure storage solution to keep your tools organized and accessible while you're out on the job. This is gonna be a great idea for you if you use your truck or your trailer all the time for work or personal use and you wanna maximize the available storage space without compromising on your cargo capacity. So this is going to be ideal for flatbed trucks, dump trucks or trailers. And this toolbox is going to mount to the underbody of your truck or trailer to give you right about 4.5 cubic feet of secure storage.
Now I do wanna point out that this is not include mounting brackets or hardware, so you would have to secure that separately. Whatever's gonna work best for your particular application. So let me give you some measurements just so you can know up front if this is gonna work for you or not. Looking at the overall length, we're sitting right at 24." And then looking at what I'm calling the width or the depth, and I'm gonna be measuring from the front of that door to the back of the box. We're sitting pretty close to 18" if you can see over my big head and then looking at the height bottom, the top 18." So that's going to be the size of this box and this does feature a stainless steel and it has a mirror finish.
You can almost see what's going on at the back of my studio, see how the magic happens there. But it really does have a nice, very reflective mirror stainless steel finish. We do have this flush mounted T handle here, so I'm gonna lift that up, give it a turn. And that's going to allow me to swing this down. And then let me go ahead and give you kind of a lower angle view there just so you can get a better view of the inside.
I do have a toolbox that I slid in here before our time together just to kind of give you an idea of the storage space that we're gonna have. So just kind of a standard plastic toolbox. We do have these retainer chains here that's going to keep this door from opening more than 90 degrees, but if you notice we do have brackets here at the corner. So you're gonna be able to adjust these chains and you can adjust, adjust how far open you want the store to swing open. So that's a nice additional touch with those brackets there.
Lemme slide this back in just to show you how easy it is to get your items in. So if you notice it's nice and it has a nice wide opening, no center post or anything like that. So you're gonna be able to easily get your stuff in, easily get it out. You're gonna have a clear view of what's going on inside. And if you notice around the perimeter, we do have this automotive grade bulb seal that's gonna protect what's inside your gear, your tools from the elements and road spray. So another nice addition and the door's a heavy duty, it's got a nice weight to it. So I'm gonna go ahead and close it, close that T handle. I like that it's flush because if you happen to be like walking by this, you might have a loop on your work pants, you're not gonna have to worry about it getting caught on that handle. I said you have secure storage, so you're gonna get two keys and I'm gonna go ahead and just insert one of the keys here, turn it, and then that's going to lock that securely. So very easy to use this, very easy to get this locked and unlocked and it's going to keep all of your gear inside very safe. So two keys are included. This is made here in the USA of a heavy duty 14 gauge steel. And again, the door at the front is gonna be stainless steel. And so this is going to hold up really well against rust and corrosion. And the finish is a textured powder coat black finish. So I think that finish is gonna hold up really well for you. Now the box itself weighs about 50 pounds. I didn't actually put this on a scale. I was able to put this up on the table by myself and you can tell, not overly strong. So it is manageable, but if you're a contractor and you're looking for reliable, secure storage for your tools, or maybe you're like an outdoor enthusiast that's looking for a sturdy solution to store your equipment securely, this is gonna be a real great option for you to consider. Now, if you do decide to pick one of these up and you get it installed, we would love to hear back from you.
