Your rear-mounted spare tire doesn't have to hinder you from using a bike rack. Use the spare tire to your advantage by pairing it with the SR2 bike carrier to transport up to two bikes on the back of your vehicle.
SR2 Installation
A universal mounting plate and 3 extension tubes enable the SR2 to fit nearly all spare tires up to 12-1/2 inches wide with up to 3-1/4 inch backspacing. (To determine the backspacing of your wheel, measure from the wheel mounting surface to the rearmost edge of the tire.) Simply select the tube length that best matches the width of your spare tire and attach the mounting plate in whichever orientation matches the spare's bolt pattern.
Pivoting Arms
Dual, pivoting arms support your bikes and better accommodate women's, children's and alternative frames. (An adapter bar [HRBA-PRO - sold separately] may still be required.) The spring-loaded arms can be folded in when you're not using the rack.
Adjustable Support Bar for Offset Spares
If you have an offset spare tire, the support bar on which the arms are mounted can be installed on the left or right side of the rack base. This centers your bikes on your vehicle, keeping them from hanging out to the side.
Grooved Cradles
Soft rubber cradles with straps firmly grip your bike's frame. Grooves in the cradles accommodate brake lines and cables. The cradles rotate and slide along the arms, so you can easily adjust them based on the type and number of bikes you're transporting. And you can use the integrated safety strap to help keep your bikes tied down.
Security System
The mounting hardware cover plate and the locking knob prevent would-be thieves from accessing the mounting bolts and removing the rack or your spare tire from your vehicle.
A cable lock (sold separately) is recommended to deter theft of your bikes.

Watched a couple of the etrailer videos regarding the installation of this product prior to its arrival. Took about 25 minutes to install. The rack is solid as a rock and very secure from theft. Would highly recommend this product for anyone with a Jeep Wrangler.
I love this bike rack for my 2016 Jeep Wrangler! It is low profile and high quality. I hope that etrailer will have one that can be used on the newer Jeeps that have back up camera’s as this one won’t work on those models, or I will just have to keep my keep forever.
Have had this rack for over a year. It was easy to install and support our two bikes easily. I like that the arms swing inward when not being used. Keeps you from walking into them. I would recommend this rack anytime to anyone for the Jeep spare tire installation and use.
Tom - 02/20/2018The five rating will come with the use of it. So as of today I have assembled and installed the bike rack. Not my first bike rack since I've been an avid rider for 30 years. To be honest I don't like tire rack mounts but when faced with the situation this one is great. It appears to be over built for the load capacity and well made. I'll update after the weekend use. If all goes well I would say five. The team supporting us through the process of ordering and shipping is already a five in my book.
Easy installation and perfect fit.
The product was excellent and easy to install. The best directional photographs I have seen on any partial assembly product. The only reason I gave 4 stars (and not 5) was because the direction that the arms swing from the frame was not 100% clear at first, but soon became so (I had to do 3minutes of reassembly, and a real "duh" moment). I would 100% recommend this product. It appears sturdy. The lock which prevents theft was an unexpected surprise- my wife's Thule bike rack which cost twice as much does not have a lock.
Mounted the rack to the spare tire of my jeep. It was just what I was looking for , the idea that the arms folded in is perfect. Works great for mounting the bikes to it or going out on the beach with aluminum chairs . I would recommend this to anybody that is interested in a good rack
I ordered this product for my Mongoose bike for the back of my Jeep wrangler. All it did was wobble the bike around. I had to stop in Kingman Arizona and have someone remove the rack and have the bike shipped back home. Beware!! I spent more money getting it off of the Jeep and shipping my bike back home than the rack is worth.
So far the product is working out great. The quality and build is excellent. The price was competitive online and the shipping costs reasonable. The product even shipped a little bit sooner than noted when I checked out online. Definitely recommend and will use etrailer again.
Martin H - 01/06/2018Received the rack on time. The only problem I had with the install is that they sent a fourth adapter for an extra large tire. This confused me for a while until I figured out that they sent the longer optional adapter for over size tires. I did not need it at this time but it is nice to have for the future. All went well and it works like a charm. One more comment about etrailer. I received earlier order for a rebuilt kit for a tow bar. Some of the washers were missing :-{ etrailer bent over backwards to get me the missing parts. It is good to know when something goes wrong they make it a priority to resolve the issue. Good work and I will be using etrailer again.
I received my entire order in 2 days. I put the spare tire bicycle carrier together in about 20 minutes using the tools provided. I have not installed the carrier on the spare tire on the back of the camper yet but it looks like it will be a simple bolt on installation. I am extremely pleased with the product(s) and the quick delivery. Thank You!

I bought this for my 07' Jeep Wrangler. It is a very well thought out kit and comes with everything you need to install it. The installation was quick and easy. I have oversized tires 285/70/17 on my Jeep and aftermarket wheels with one inch offset so I was a bit concerned about fit. Because it comes with three different size adapters it should fit any tire that fits on your factory spare bracket. I use the longest adapter. I can fit my mountain bike and my wife's bike on it. Holds them fine, although I'm looking to get the adapter tube for women's bikes for the wife's bike, but its not needed. It fits fine, just not level due to the low top tube. Dealing with etrailer was excellent. Great communication from the time I ordered it until it showed up on my doorstep. Great well thought out unit. Looks nice on the Jeep even without bikes on it. I like how it is light and sturdy. I also like how the bike racks fold over the spare tire when its not in use. I also like how its easy to remove the carrier portion without any tools for the winter. I like that is has a lock so some jerk cant steal it. Excellent product.
Arms that hold the bikes have gotten pretty loose. It's fine for one adult bike but putting two adult hybrid bikes on taxes the bike rack. I always use bungee cords and wrap them around the bike or bikes and the bike holder bars and or the spare tire.

Solid. Wish it fit a little more snug to tire. Not gonna be easy to remove the spare in event of flat but, that’s always a hassle anyways. Would buy again. eTrailer shipping and service is as good as it gets.
I researched several spare tire bike racks to find what I was looking for and decided to purchase this Hollywood 2 bike carrier. Ordering was easy and carrier arrived in 2 business days as promised. Very reasonable shipping charges. SR2 is very well made and installation instructions were clear. I was able to install the SR2 in under 60 minutes. Just completed 400 mile trip with no issues! This is a great bike rack. Easy to use and can fit two bikes with no problem (even a mountain bike an road bike at the same time). Having the ability to fold in the support arms for the bikes is great when not using it. Only suggestion is to be sure to have the correct allen and bolt wrench to remove it if you get a flat tire and actually need to use the spare tire.

Promotional video shows how quick and easy it is to install...what they don't show you is the time it takes to put it together with the mediocre instructions. Still, an excellent rated item once installed.
This bike rack was exactly what I was looking for. Fit fine on my 2015 Wrangler with a 12" wide spare. Installation took a bit of time, but wasn't too difficult, especially after viewing the video. Drove down a 10 mile rutted clay road and the bikes didn't budge a bit.
I am very pleased with the bike rack. The quality of the rack is certainly comparable to the Thule rack I had on my last SUV. The video was very helpful in putting it together, but a couple of details short. It took me about an hour from start to finish. The customer service and quick delivery will bring me back to this site in the future.
