Today, in our 2019 Jeep Cherokee, we're going to be taking a look at, and showing you how to install the WeatherTech Side Window Air Deflectors for the front with dark tinting. It's also available with light tinting. Here's what our side window deflectors are going to look like once we have them installed. They're going to have a really sleek low-profile design. These are going to actually go inside the window channel. So, we're not going to have worry about that double-sided sticky tape that goes onto the paint.
Our window deflectors are going to allow us to have the window rolled down a little, so we can have that fresh air come in, and all that stale escape the jeep. But, at the same time, it's going to protect the interior from rain protruding inside. Our window deflectors are going to come as a set. So, we'll get the driver's side and the passenger side together. And the really nice thing about them, is that they're a tool-less design. So, we're not going to have any kind of tools that we need to get them installed.
Also, we're not going to have any kind of tape to worry about, or damaging the paint on our Jeep. But, now that we've seen what they look like, let's show you how to get them installed. To begin our installation, you want to make sure that your window is at least half-way down, if not rolled all the way down. We can grab the appropriate window deflector inaudible 00:01:10. You're going to have this tapered piece that's going to come down at an angle, that's towards the front. So, you want to make sure you grab the right side.
We're on the passenger side here. You'll see that there's this little cut-out right here. This front piece is going to slide into the window channel. But, you want to make sure that this bottom is resting on the window sill. We want to leave the top section out for now.
We'll move to the back area. We're going to slightly bow it out, till we can guide the back in. But, we're going to want to leave a little bit of a gap right here at the top. We're going to start at the front, and work our way back. But, we'll grab our deflector. We're going to start pushing it in, so it goes underneath that window channel. We're going to start at the front. We'll grab our window deflector. Start bowing it back in, so it goes into that window channel. Just work our way all the way back, till we can slide it all the way into the window channel, making sure it's seated properly. We should give it a quick tug, pulling up and away from the vehicle. You may here a little pop. That's just the plastic going into the channel, making sure it's sitting in the correct spot.Once you have your deflector in place, you want to roll your window up and down a few times, to make sure that everything is seated properly. . So, with our passenger side installed, we're going to repeat the same process, for the driver side. That will finish up your look at the WeatherTech Side Window Air Deflectors for the front on our 2019 Jeep Cherokee.
