Heavy trailer, camper, or bed loads can leave your truck squatting and less controlled. These air springs add up to 5,000 lbs of leveling support to reduce sag, sway, and bottoming, while internal jounces let you run 0 psi unloaded.
Typical Alpha HD Pro installation shown. Vehicle-specific brackets vary by application.
When trailer weight, a slide-in camper, or a heavy bed load settles your truck onto its rear suspension, squat and extra body movement can make the truck feel less controlled. The two adjustable rear air springs add supplemental support to help reduce sag, sway, and bottoming while letting you tune the suspension to the weight you're carrying. With up to 5,000 lbs of load-leveling capacity, you can add only the pressure the load calls for instead of treating maximum pressure as the default. Your truck can sit closer to level and remain more controlled while carrying or towing substantial weight.
A truck that tows one day and runs empty the next doesn't need the same rear-suspension support all the time. Internal jounce bumpers let you add air when your trailer, camper, or cargo is aboard, then reduce the air springs to 0 psi once that load comes off. Those internal jounces also protect the air springs against bottoming when suspension travel is used up. You get the support your truck needs under weight without having to keep air in the bags simply to protect them when you're driving empty.
Suspension hardware lives where road spray, dirt, and weather reach it, so material choices matter underneath your truck. This kit uses braided stainless steel air lines along with stainless steel fittings, Schrader valves, roll plates, and mounting hardware to add corrosion resistance throughout key parts of the system. That extra durability is focused where it matters, helping the hardware you rely on for load support and pressure adjustment stand up to the environment beneath a working truck.
You'll start by measuring your truck's stock ride height and removing the rear wheels for working access before taking out the factory jounce bumpers. The vehicle-specific brackets mount between the frame and axle, with careful alignment and clearance around the brake lines and emergency brake cable as the air spring assemblies are secured. You'll also install the included passenger-side exhaust heat shield, then route the braided stainless steel air lines with enough slack for suspension movement before mounting the Schrader valves where they're easy to reach. Adding air bags is a job experienced DIYers can handle, but if you would rather leave it to a professional, we can help you find an installer near you.
The included Schrader valves give you everything you need to adjust the air springs manually, but pulling out an external compressor can get old if your towing or hauling setup changes frequently. You can add a Pacbrake Bravo Wireless Air Control Kit (sold separately) to adjust pressure from your phone, check live pressure, and save presets for loads you come back to regularly. Also, you'll be able to choose between filling both air springs together or controlling them independently when the load isn't even side to side. It's an optional upgrade, but one that makes the adjustable part of an air-spring system much easier to use regularly. And it's not the only solution available. There are a variety of compressor options from Pacbrake that might be the perfect fit for your setup.

Hi everyone, Steven here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the Pacbreak Alpha HD Pro Bag Suspension Kit. Now these include internal jounces, and they do feature stainless steel upgraded hardware and stainless steel braided lines. Now folks, these are a custom fit application, so please make sure you're double checking the fit there over to etrailer.com. It looks like these are gonna fit between 2001 to some later 2010s, GMC Sierra, Chevy Silverado, both the new and classic body styles, it looks like the 2500, 3500, those kind of things. But again, double check all that with the fit guide to be sure you're getting the right parts for your specific vehicle.
Now getting into it, I do wanna point out, obviously all I have here on the table today is just these kind of roughly put together. Keep in mind, when they're on the table, whatever I have these orientated, double check with the installation, do not just go off of what you see here, they may not be facing the correct way, I'm just trying to showcase these the best way I can to you. And that being said, I do wanna throw up an image of all the hardware that's included in this particular kit. And as I mentioned, everything is stainless steel as far as all the plates and the bolts and nuts and those kind of things. The rest of the hardware and stuff, like these hammer tone finish, these are powder coated on these bottom and top brackets that bolt through the frame.
But these round plates, stainless steel braid lines, the Schrader valves that are not on the table but are included, and all the hardware is stainless steel. And why air suspension Well, if you haven't used them before, basically when you get hooked up and you start squatting in the rear, and it's pushing your front axle up, and your headlights are pointing to the sky, airbags are gonna help lift up and support, up to 5,000 pounds in this case of low leveling capacity. So what you'll notice is, if you do a measurement when you're fully loaded before you install airbags, like a fender height, maybe something like that, or a wheel well height, and then when you put the airbags back on it, it should get you back up to a stock height before you had any load on it to that same measurement. So, read the instructions again, but that's more or less the quick overview of what these are gonna do for you. But they're also gonna help soften the ride, they're gonna help reduce that side-to-side body roll around corners.
It's actually gonna improve your braking a little bit as well, whenever you have a perfectly level trailer and set up in conjunction with your trailer brakes, amongst all those kind of things. It's gonna give you a smoother OE stopping as well, as far as keeping that weight and everything evenly distributed across your whole system, truck and trailer, et cetera. Now, these have been designed, again with an internal jounce that's just a heavy duty rubber internal jounce inside of here, so you can run these at zero PSI when you unload it. Whenever you do have stuff on, that's gonna help give you extra support inside of the bag, so it's gonna protect the bag as well and just give you some more extra support as well. So I like to tell people these HD, heavy duty ones, with the internal jounce, that's gonna be better for you guys and gals that are always doing a heavy load all the time.
So if you're the kind of person that's towing, maybe once or twice a month, you might not want to get the kit with that internal jounce, because with that internal jounce, again, this can only compress so far, and by nature of that, it's gonna make you feel potholes and bumps in the road a little more than you would stock. So just kinda keep that in mind. But otherwise, again, if you've always got a heavy load on there, these are gonna be great for you. And if you have any further questions, if there's things I didn't cover, you can always reach out to us here at etrailer, we're more than happy to assist you. As well as, we do offer compressor kits and those kind of things as well. If you wanna do remote inflation versus manual inflation at the rear bumper and those kind of things, we carry all that as well. And if you don't wanna tackle the install, we got you covered too, just reach out to us here at etrailer on our website, we have a dealer locator tool, you simply enter your zip code, and based on your zip code and your location, we can help find somebody that we're affiliated with in your area that can do the installation for you. That's gonna wrap up our quick look together. I'm Steven, thanks for watching.

Did not fit my truck 2026 Silverado 1500 4x4, website said it would fit, it does not fit, as axle plate is Square on my truck, this kit have round axle plate that interferes with spring shackle bolts, would not fit or even be centered. SO I am returning them, this needs to be corrected on your website, it does not fit the 2026 Silverado 1500 2x2 or 4x4!
Great product!
Parts fit perfectly, directions were very easy to understand.
It was easy to order and the stuff I ordered is just what I was looking for. The people who helped me was great
verry easy install, everthing was in the package. just installed it. will see how it works under load. under an hour install time.
Great set up. Easy to install. Much better than the Timbren bump stops.
I have no problems with the quality or the install. My one problem is the instructions, when you order the stainless steel kit, it comes with a separate box to replace the hardware. That's totally fine, but it would be nice if they could work that in the instructions for when to install the stainless steel airlines because you can install them at the same time that you can the push in plastic lines. Besides that, these are an insane set of airbags. When I ride at zero psi cuz I got the ones with the internal jounce bumpers, I did not expect this but it smooths out my ride. That's a super huge plus.
The only reason I bought this kit is because I was told I could put zero psi when not towing and I would not lose the factory suspension comfort. That information was wrong its a horrible ride now and I regret getting these bags. Was also told that they don't off this kit without the stainless upgrade so I had to buy it, but when it shipped there was a separate box with the stainless kit and they regular stuff was in the same box as the bags feels like I got ripped off on this deal
This is a very nice kit. I installed on my new 2026 Silverado 2500hd. Installation was pretty straight forward, but still took a bit of thinking. After everything is mounted correctly there is a slight lean to the bags (not completely perpenticular to the mounting plates). I called Pacbrake support and they assured me this was normal and nothing to be concerned with. I had the equivalent AirLift kit on my 2007 Silverado 2500hd and I think I like the Pacbrake kit better. Everything seems a bet "beefier".
