Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the Hellwig Load Pro 25 progressive rate helper springs with the custom mounting kit. Now, this is a custom fit part. This does fit many years and models of the Dodge, the Ford, the GM trucks, vans, and SUVs. And because it fits so many different models, I do recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle and it'll show if this will work for your application.
Now, this Load Pro 25 spring set features a progressive rate spring design, which is ideal for vehicles or fleet application that consistently carry a heavy load day in and day out. The progressive rate springs adjust to the load on your vehicle for an improved ride and it won't affect your ride while it's unloaded. These custom helper springs upgrade your factory leaf springs to reduce sway and body roll. They'll prevent sagging when you're towing or hauling heavy loads. And they'll even help extend the life of your factory suspension, tires, and brakes.
These three helper leaf springs will flex with the factory leaf springs to limit bouncing while providing optimal stability. They are very easy to install. Basically, they'll bolt above your factory leaf springs and the U-bolts on the mounting kit can be adjusted to suit different loads. The drivers and the passenger sides can be adjusted independently for uneven loads. They do include the custom installation kit and you can see I installed that on here.
It is zinc plated hardware. Now, one note I do wanna mention on this kit is if your vehicle is equipped with a factory contact overload, it may need to be removed before installing these new helper springs. What I would recommend is just consult the installation guide. These are made of a durable steel construction. It ensures long lasting performance.
And one of the unique things on this, the finish on it, if you notice I zoomed in here, it uses a silver vein hammer tone powder coat finish on the mounting plates and even on the springs themselves. That'll help resist corrosion. Plus it gives a nice good look to them. These parts are made in the USA. Specs, the weight capacity is 2,500 pounds. Now, these Hellwig helper springs will not increase your vehicle's weight carrying capacity. So far so good! purchased these for my old supercrew to locally haul my 16'trailer dbl axle utility trailer loaded with my 3540 W/cab/loader/box blade. Most of the machine weight (maybe 6K) is centered over the trailer axles, but these helper springs do a lot for keeping the sag up and balanced.
