Heavy trailers and packed truck beds can make the rear sag and the front lift, throwing off braking and steering. The Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs add up to 5,000 lbs of load-leveling capacity to keep your vehicle level and steady under heavy loads. By installing them between the frame and rear suspension, you reduce strain on your axle, maintain even tire contact with the road, and keep your headlights aimed correctly—all while improving steering control and braking when towing or hauling.
Every haul is different, and these air springs let you fine-tune for each one. With manual air pressure adjustment from 5 psi to 100 psi, you can soften the ride when unloaded or firm it up for maximum support when carrying heavy weight. The individual inflation valves allow side-to-side tuning to balance off-center loads so your setup stays level no matter how uneven the cargo.
A rough ride wears on you and your suspension. The double-convoluted rubber construction of these Ride-Rite springs absorbs road shock and softens contact between the axle and frame to prevent bottoming out. Four layers of reinforced rubber and a braided wire girdle deliver heavy-duty durability and cushioning that keep the ride comfortable even when the work gets tough.
Each air spring is anchored with corrosion-resistant metal end plates and a rolled crimp seal that locks everything in place for reliable, leak-free operation. The proven design provides consistent support for years of towing and hauling without permanent sagging or excess wear on leaf springs. The kit includes brackets, hardware, air line, and separate valves for manual inflation so you have everything needed for a solid install that’s ready for real work.

Still happy with this install, bags help tremendously over bridge joints hauling my 5th wheel. not sure how these compare to Timbren setup, but i would guess better based on being able to adjust pressure. way more stable over bridges and bends in road.

After 1 year of use, my Firestone airbags never let me down. Working perfectly. This is the 3rd trucks Ive run Firestone 5000 lbs. rated bags on with no issues.

Still working great as it should and doesnt leak air. The remote controller is really convenient and can be operated from inside or outside the truck. Definitely worth all the work. The shield I fabricated for the compressor keeps road grit etc. Out of the air intake of the compressor which should be a huge help for the life of the system. Love it.

I ended up adding an airlift compressor which was super easy to install and everything works great! I got tired of checking pressures, the air compressor monitors psi and kicks on if needed. I would buy and install these things again if I ever end up getting a new truck. Works great when towing my 12,000 pound bumper pull camper
