When you’re running 10,000-lb or 12,000-lb axles, the center hanger is what keeps your suspension geometry solid. This Dexter center hanger is built to work with multi-axle setups using 3" wide slipper springs. Its 4-1/8" height keeps the equalizer positioned right so both axles share the load evenly and the trailer tracks steady mile after mile.
On tandem- and triple-axle systems, keeping the equalizer properly suspended is key to smooth travel. This hanger is configured as a true center hanger—its geometry lets the equalizer pivot freely between axles, helping to reduce bounce and sway while keeping tire wear even.
Matching hardware matters when you’re rebuilding a suspension. This hanger is made to take a 1-1/8" diameter bolt (sold separately), giving a snug, precise fit that won’t wallow out over time. It fits tightly around 3" wide slipper springs, restoring proper alignment and movement in the suspension.
Tough steel construction keeps this hanger from flexing under load. Measuring 5-1/2" in overall height, about 4-1/4" outer width, and 3-3/4" inside width, it’s made to stand up to the constant stress that comes with heavy-duty towing. It’s the kind of hardware you can bolt on once and trust for the long haul.

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com, and today we're gonna take a brief look at this center hanger for three-inch wide slipper springs. This center hangar is going to work with multi-axle trailer suspension systems that have three-inch slipper springs, and this is configured as a center hanger and it suspends your equalizer on tandem or triple axle trailers. This is designed for trailers with 10,000 pound and 12,000 pound Dexter axles. And the holes that are located here on the top are for spot welding, and each of these holes have a diameter of 5/8 of an inch and they are separated on center by 2 3/4 inches. The diameter of our hole is 1 1/8 inches so this will work with 1 1/8 inch in diameter bolts and those bolts are sold separately, but they can be found here at etrailer.com. And measuring the height of this hanger, measuring from the center of our hole to the top, you can see we're sitting right at 4 1/8 inches.
Well, that's gonna conclude our brief look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
