The Yakima BaseLine FX roof rack comes as a full system with two integrated crossbars, towers, and a custom fit kit—all designed for naked roofs. You don’t need to piece together multiple parts or guess what fits. It installs directly on the roof and gives you a solid platform ready for your gear.
The flush-mount design keeps the crossbars tight to the roofline for a clean, built-in appearance. Nothing sticks out past the sides, so the rack looks like part of the vehicle instead of an add-on. The compact 48-3/4" long bars maintain a low, aerodynamic profile that blends right in.
These aluminum crossbars have an aero-style shape that helps reduce drag and wind noise when you’re driving. Push-down rubber strips in the top channels seal around accessories and help cut vibration, keeping your setup quiet on highway trips or long drives with gear up top.
The bars are ready for just about any adventure. They work with both channel-mount accessories that slide into the top channels and clamp-on carriers that wrap around the bars. That means you can load up bikes, kayaks, skis, or a cargo box without changing your setup every time.
You can add Yakima Same Key System (SKS) lock cores—sold separately—to help deter theft of the rack or any channel-mounted accessories. It’s an easy upgrade that keeps your gear secure when the vehicle’s parked at camp, the trailhead, or anywhere in between.

2-years into owning my system: I have had the rack on the vehicle for 2-years and never removed it. Every 3-4 months i check the performance of the base clips and they have never come lose. I think best practice is to always check the stability of the rack however i have never had a problem and the system has always stayed tight and firm. Its been a great system for the vehicle.
